I am only 33 years old and I have already started having hot flashes, even though I go to bed early I wake up exhausted and feel like I haven't slept at all. I get irritated really easily and have started having chest pain and distcomfort on my left side. I am not sure if all of this is caused by the shot but I am a little worried. The doctors don't know if I have endo but said it sounded like I did and suggested the shot because I have had two scope surgeries in the past 11 years and they have found nothing. I have been suffering with chronic pain in my right side since I was 10 and all the doctors I have seen haven't been able to tell my why or what is causing it. I was just willing to try anything to get rid of the pain at this point but was only informed of the menopusal side affects and not my other symptoms that just seemed to start after my shot. I had severe pain at my injection site for 2 days and severe pain in my right side and nausea for the first 2 weeks after having the shot. |

I called my OB/GYN Physician and explained to her I think it is from the LUPRON. She stated it could not be. If that were the case it would have happened immediately. Not two months later. If I think it is the LUPRON then take the birthcontrol she prescribed to me and if the pain gets worse go to the ER. On October 25, 2006 the pain and inflammation was so great, i did go to the ER. The attending physician was very emathetic with me UNTIL, she called my OB/GYN. After that conversation, she came back to my room and said verbatim exactly what the OB/GYN had stated to me earlier, and, her attitude and behavior toward me turned cold and evasive just as my OB/GYYN started to behave toward me. She dismissed it off as, now get this, "YOUR BODY IS ANGRY WITH YOU FOR SOME REASON AND IT IS JUST ATTACKING ITSELF", you should follow up with your primary care Physician. As of today, I have not gotten any answers but, i promise you i will. |

I have been on progestin birth control pills since. Recently it has been discovered that my remaining ovary may be in the same danger. My doctor suggested Lupron, stating that hot flashes where the worst of the symptoms. Thank God I came across this site and many others containing real accounts of the actual effects. I will not be taking Lupron! I will be opting to stay with the progestin pill and a better diet. If I am infertile, then so be it, there are many children out there who need parents. My biggest concern is losing my only ovary and going into menopause. Doesn't seem rational to take a drug that causes the very thing that I'm trying to avoid most.
I'm also signing this petition in regards to the principle that not only does Lupron need adequate investigation but so does endometriosis! For heaven sakes, every women with this disease should be included in some kind of collective study! We're never going to find a applicable treatment if we don't start understanding what women are truly experiencing. |

I also have joint pain, depression, my BP disorder is out of control.
I also have osteopenia, low grade fevers regularly, and many, many other problems I didn't have before.
I now no longer trust Drs, have PTSD, white coat syndrome, and a long list of both physical and mental problems, and am unable to work, or have a productive life. If only I could turn back time. It sickens me that they are still conducting new tests with this poison, without "knowing' (we all know they know), the long term affects. |
