I had hot flashes from hell, mood swings, severe anxiety, severe depression, fatigue, hair loss, and I also became very forgetful and clumsly. I have been done with the injections since march of 2007 and I am still haveing side effects. I fell like my life is out of control. I can't hold a job because I still have horrible pain and I some of the other side effects intefere with my normal day to day functions. I used to be a confident, outgoing, happy person, and now I don't even want to leave my house. I cry all of the time because I know something is wrong and my doctors won't listen. Please help get the information out on this drug from hell. If anyone has any advice I would love to hear it.
Oh yeah, I was also never told about any of the side effects by my doctor before the injections. |

The poor girl for the next six months felt like she was in menopause. She is 22!! She also had severe depression and still has a skewed vision of herself. She still has problems with depression and the endometriosis hasn't changed. I really think that this shot is a terrible idea and needs to taken off the market. |

Have had hair loss, anxiety/mood issues, night sweats and hot flashes, weight gain, no sex drive, etc. didn't connect to lupron until now. The worst is that after the 3 month injection the site was sore. The next morning started to have back and hip muscle aches. As the day progressed the pain was worse. Middle of the night called in to work knowing I was in too much pain. Went to bed for a couple of hours and when I got up it was EVEN WORSE. I actually couldn't get up. The muscle spasms and aches are so bad I can't move. Injection site was high on my left hip and the pain seems to radiate from there. After reading the info on this site, a little late I might add, this will be my last injection and I hope and pray that this doesn't haunt me for the rest of my life. |

Please don't ever automatically assume that your doctor knows best! When I started hurting and aching, my doctor dismissed the symptoms. Unfortunately, I now have fibromyalgia, and I hurt a lot. I can't sleep, but I am tired all of the time. I firmly believe that Lupron is responsible for this; after all, it even says this on the TAP CYA form! I never had problems with pain before this, but now I deal with it on a daily basis. Something must be done about this harmful drug! |

In fact, Lupron created new pain and the side effects lingered for more than a year after I stopped taking it - and I only had three monthly injections. At the least, patients deserve to be presented with the whole picture before they agree to any treatment that involves poisoning their body with Lupron for the scant hope of "preventing" endometriosis from recurring. |

Finally, after almost passing out in my shower and after recommendation from my doctor, in 2000, I decided to go for the Lupron shots (5 months). I was told that if it worked, the treatment would shrink the tumors and they would stay dormant. If it didn't work, once the treatment stopped, the tumors would come back worse that they were.
Well, once the treatment stopped, the tumors got worse, my symptoms came back with a vengance, but I also developed high blood pressure (which was always nornal before, i gained weight, developed a sensitivity to the sun and a rash that goes and comes. I cant go out and stay in the sun for more than 15 minutes and not get heat rashes (not the same as the ones mention before. I was told by the doctor that the Lupron had nothing to do the these symptoms, but I am convinced the it caused me to develope all these things. I eventually had to have surgery. |
