The petition

Dear Meridian Kessler Neighbors, Butler University Alumni and Friends, Join our Butler-Tarkington and Meridian-Park neighbors to stop residential and commercial development at Crown Hill Cemetery (42nd & Michigan Rd.) Over 70 irreplaceable acres filled with 2,745 trees risk being destroyed if zoning is passed. The removal of these natural resources equates to over 8,000 tons of new carbon dioxide in our city's air. Historical Crown Hill was established in 1864. 185,000 deceased rest at the cemetery. Please sign the petition to stop this destruction from happening. The next zoning meeting will be held on February 21, 2007, 1:00 p.m. at the City County Building, 2nd floor.
