This Powell Family of 8 kids are advocating for the death of our mother, Loveda Powell, who was 80 years old in 2002.
Mother was dumped by her insurance and she was bounced back and forth, in and out of our hospitals, clinics and a nursing home until they caused her death to happen.
Finally, when her life was compromised in 64 days, mother died on April 15, 2002 at my home.
The nursing home allowed her to starve to death in 19 days. We went into the nursing home on April 10, 2002 and took her out, after a three hour fight to get this done. Read her website for the impact of the whole story.
We had relocated mother to Salem, Oregon in February 2002 to get faster and better medical care, but she got a faster and better death to suit her insurance company.

Since the Kaiser doctor was so horrible to mother that day on her visit, we decided to have mother see a family doctor, which my twin sister was going to for her and her family.

This is the company of employee's that work at South Salem Rehab and Specialty Care. (This is the nursing home) that starved mother to death in 19 days.
Mother lived 5 more days at my home and died on April 15, 2002.
We filed a formal complaint and started the nursing home investigation, which took 6 months to complete!!!
We have had to pay for two private investigations to support the wrongful death negligence claim. We have over 25 pieces of evidence. Medical records from all treating facilities. Investigation reports. Pictures and Videos.
Now we are at the stage of the EXPERTS rendering their opinions. Right or wrong, we have to have this part to know the ultimate truth, because the answers we are after may be in her hard copy of the January 10, 2001 CT SCAN of the Abdomen. Mother was not told it was there at that time.
One question proposed, was it preventable? If so, let's know about then. If not, so be it then. How hard is that?
Now we are tracking it down, the hard copy, Mckenzie Willamette Hospital has it. The Cardiologist MD Expert is waiting for this and so is the Radiologist Expert. After the Radiologist Expert reads, then he tells the CardioExpert and this is what we are after, so that we know whether or not to file it as malpractice!
