To name the old Homestead Hospital,current site for future medical arts high school after Mrs Davina Holeton, past JAS Hospital and Homestead Manor, Director of Nursing, American Cancer Society, "Woman of the year 1998" long time volunteer with the Womans Club of Homestead, Pioneer Museum, Tropical Everglades Visitor Association, Red Cross including their Youth Aides program, and many more thought her life.
