The Daily Bread is a Soup Kitchen local to the Melbourne area (located on Fee ave.). Besides the 75,000 meals it provides yearly free of charge, it does so much more. A completely non-profit company,(volunteer and donation runs the company, it provides free phone service and a joblink computer. The Daily Bread also provides free hygiene services such as showers and laundry. In Addition, the the Daily Bread assists in the areas of literacy, education, and health, through cooperation with other programs including H.O.P.E. The Daily Bread has received an adequate donation for expansion. They wish to use the adjacent lot next door, which already belongs to them but requires rezoning. They will need support at city council meetings and a petition supporting the expansion will help them gain the right to rezone. |
