| 258 | kristen gerhard | I always dread this well traveled intersection. It is
so difficult to maintain a straight line whilst looking nearly 180 degrees behind to judge traffic speed for
the lane crossing. |

| 262 | Anonymous | The situation going north in the same area also is dangerous, perhaps even more so. Cyclists going downhill must cross from the right edge of the road to the left lane to go straight, while motorists can go straight or turn right. Not sure of a solution, but a warning sign would be helpful. |

| 266 | Chris Merritt | It is unreasonable to expect cyclists to stop at this merge and wait for cars ... the rules used in all other situations where "vehicles" of different size / power encounter each other (e.g., on trails, at sea) should prevail: the larger / more powerful vehicle must yield. Thank you for your consideration of this important issue. |

| 268 | Celine Beaupre | I want to raise awareness to cyclists and all motor vehicles.

| 275 | r. l. stephan vance | I have used this road weekly and agree that the speed of merging automobiles is very dangerous. There is not good reason for them to be going that fast into a busy business and residential area. Please consider a simple solution, as a stop sign.
Thank You for saving a life

| 276 | Todd Willis | Thanks for evaluating this intersection for improvements. The requested solution would certainly make the road much safer for cyclists and should have little impact to vehicles. |

| 293 | Steven J. Bossi | This is a duplicate because I hit return before I could comment. My mistake. This intersection is extremely dangerous not only to cyclists but to motorists as well. Should there be an auto/bike accident it is not only the cyclist who is impacted. Just think how you would feel if you hit a cyclist in your car. I was hit once as a child and I know the man who hit me was very much impacted. Please correct this known and well documented dangerous situation. Thank you. |
| 294 | Kathy Keehan | I'm not sure the exact solution to the problem, but I'm signing to register that SOMETHING should be done. |
| 295 | Kevin Reindl | Yes, this has been a dangerous spot for as long as I have been riding the coast. |
| 296 | Simone Bittenbinder | I deal with this frustration all the time... I hope this will resolve my cycling frustrations... |
| 297 | Greg Mulvihill | |
| 298 | Chuck Northrop | Either of the two safety measures, or an equivalent, would be acceptable. An equivalent example would be the off-ramp from southbound Hwy. 163 to westbound Washington Street in Hillcrest has a signal at the top of the ramp. |

| 300 | Anonymous | Keep San Diego and Del Mar a healthy and active area. It is fast and dangerous and a bike rider is at the mercy of speeding cars trying to cross. I "white knuckle" it everytime I have to go throught this area.
Dog beach parking is also very dangerous. Cars park in the bike lane waiting for someone to leave. You are coming down a hill and have to risk slamming into cars pulling into the bike lane or swerve into traffic lane. No win situation here. |
