| 353 | Anonymous | In the car for 3 hours. Never even made it to the show. So sad to miss the band. Please come back! |
| 354 | chris | ok - I started this petition, but I wanted to post a thought. The refund issue (which I stayed away from in the petition) would be best handled this way.
Tickets that were unused (unscanned) should get a free ticket to a DC show, or a full refund INCLUDING TICKETMASTER FEES - SINCE THOSE FEES ARE MANDITORY AND NOT OPTIONAL.
Ticketholders with tickets that were scanned after 9:30PM (presumably because of traffic mis-management) should be given a 50% off ticket to a DC show, or 50% off their Nissan ticket's price INCLUDING TICKETMASTER FEES - SINCE THOSE FEES ARE MANDITORY AND NOT OPTIONAL.
Ticketholders scanned before Radiohead played should be given an opportunity to buy tickets to the DC show ahead of the general public.
I doubt the promoter or band would be able to make this happen, but this is what would be CLOSEST to fair. |
| 355 | Megan Kilgas | I am deeply disappointed as to the handling of the Radiohead concert on May 11, 2008. I live 40 minutes from Nissan Pavilion and gave myself 3.5 hours to get to the show in time, just to be led on a wild 2-hour detour, where police, Nissan staff and Live Nation staff did nothing to get hundreds of paid ticketholders into the venue. I also had a friend who actually made it to the venue, just to be turned away from the parking lot. I believe it is absolutely ridiculous that ticketholders were turned away. This makes Nissan Pavilion look extremely bad to current and possible future customers. I was going to weather the rain just to see Radiohead, even though there was a Flood Watch in effect for the town and surrounding counties. The tickets do say "Rain or Shine" NOT "Floods and Acts of God." I believe we should receive fair compensation. |
| 356 | John | Nissan Pavilion is inaccessible by public transportation, can pretty much only be reached by car, and the majority of concertgoers come from metro-DC anyway. And you guys saw just what happens in the event of terrible weather. Access roads flooded, huge traffic snarls, and tons of wasted gas and frayed nerves. Not very green. So next time, play in the city. Verizon Center, RFK, Nationals Park, whatever. Don't put us thru that nightmare again. (Great set though, all things considered.) |

| 361 | Brad | Here's a copy of the e-mail I sent to Nissan's management, for what it's worth:
Dear Sir or Ma’am,
My name is Bradley Gillenwater and I had for many, many weeks been looking forward to this past Sunday’s Radiohead concert in the suburbs of Washington, DC. My friend, Jay Yoke, purchased our group’s four tickets this past March. The four of us left Crystal City, Virginia, in route to the concert, shortly after 6:30 PM, one hour before the listed 7:30 opening act was to have commenced. However, due in part to mother nature but to a greater degree awful traffic control management operations, we did not arrive to the Nissan Post venue—less than twenty-five miles from Crystal City—until the middle of the main act, Radiohead. Indeed, by the time we rushed from our cars, presented our tickets and rushed further to our “stage pit” ticket location, we arrived in time to hear only eight—eight!—songs, this includes each of the band’s encore performances. To make matters worse, as disappointed as the four of us were, we were not able to exit the Nissan Pavilion parking lot until
Four days later, I remain furious. Not only have a caught an awful cold as a result of the evening, but I feel completely cheated out of an evening for which myself and three good friends had planned for over two months. We planned carefully and adequately for the event (it should not have taken over three hours to have driven from Crystal City to Bristow); we each paid good money for the “stage pit” tickets, placing us only yards from the main stage; and, while granting that Nissan Post is not responsible for the terrible weather, the venue’s management—as well as the local government managers—have demonstrated an utter and complete inability to have accommodated the concert in the first place.
I am tremendously disappointed in the performance of Nissan Post’s management, and unless some form of redress is made to address the legitimate concerns which I raised, above, I will certainly never patronize the venue again—and I will make it an effort to pursued others to also forego future engagements at the venue.
Sincerely,
Brad Gillenwater |

| 363 | JP | I was in the PIT so i got slightly rained on, but my feet were soaked and cold and pruny. I would love to see them perform in the DC Verizon center. |
| 364 | Lanora Davis | Please come back! |
| 365 | James Yoke | |
| 366 | Jennifer | First off, let me say that Radiohead rocked...second...this was THE WORST concert experience of my life! I would LOVE RH to come back to play DC or even Baltimore! Please, please , PLEASE Thom and gang...consider it |
| 367 | DC Drake | Went to the show. Left Arlington at 7, arrived at the show at 10:15. Horrible experience. |

| 369 | Colin Kerrigan | |
| 370 | Lucy Coburn | Please Thom? |
| 371 | bill dwyer | radiohead at tibet fest?.. rain delay. radiohead a few years ago at wolftrap? rained out. mother's day this year at nissan suckillion?..torrents of rain.
it'd be nice to see such a sophisticated, literary and poetic band in an environment other than muddy cold metal seats with water dripping down into your frikkin eyeballs! |
| 372 | Cheryl Vincent | had lawn tickets, made it in, but left during opening act, couldn't stand it anymore |

| 374 | Anonymous | We spent 4+ hours in the car, being routed around roadblocks and circling Prince William County, only to be turned away by the police as we finally got near the venue. We couldn't be more disappointed to have missed Radiohead -- we were looking forward to the show for months. We would love it if Radiohead were to come back to the DC area (especially in a more transit-accessible venue). |
| 375 | alex | this would be great. |

| 377 | Anonymous | i cant imagine not being able to get into a radiohead show. |
| 378 | Erik Bartley | I came early cause I had General Admission tickets up front and I wanted a good spot. I saw both Liars and Radiohead. But I've got to say that the rain and cold was unbearable. Why did the rain/cold have to ruin what should have been an amazing show? |
| 379 | Mike Mahoney | Never made it into the stupid venue. |
| 380 | Steve Jarriel | Please NEVER return to Nissan unless you can stage a daytime show. GREAT sound there. Horrific experience in all other ways. -SJ- |
| 381 | Courtney N. Lloyd | I don't want to pay for another ticket to see Radiohead when I had a pavilion seat and wasn't able to get into there because of horrible traffice and rain. I hope those of us who were not able to make the concert, will be able to have their nissan ticket honored if radiohead comes to this venue. I payed a lot of money the first time to see them do not wish to spend more. |

| 383 | Melissa Rees | It took me longer to get to the point at which the police forced us to turn back from Richmond, VA than it did to drive all the way to Charlotte, NC and check into the hotel and get to the venue there through moderate traffic. |
| 384 | Harland Harris | |
| 385 | Joel Traylor | Please come back and play at a venue that is responsible and competent!! |
| 386 | teresa wiles | I love Radiohead. I would be so happy if they would play the Verizon. I could Metro there!
My boyfriend and I spent almost 4 hours in the car and only got to hear 6 songs. I was heartbroken... |
| 387 | Anonymous | This needs to be taken to a larger level than just facebook groups and online petitions.

| 393 | David | So disappointing for me and my wife..... Never even made it in the parking lot!! Worst night ever!! What a huge waste of time, money, and gas. And not getting to see Radiohead is a whole nother story!! |
