Robert L. Giarrusso, Esq. | PLEASE come back this year before you go back to the studio and give all the fans that made ibut couldn't abide the weather, and all the ones who did (who are sick now), and ESPECIALLY the ones that were turned away because of flooding another chance to see you guys! That was the BEST show I've seen yet (I've been seeing Radiohead live since the first OK Computer show at the 9:30) but when you get to DC, YOU HAVE TO PLAY INDOORS NOW. And yes, that means at least 2 NIGHTS at the Phone Booth (unless we get the city put a dome over RFK) but by all means, come back to see us SOON!!!!!! You could sell out DC for a solid week- just in time for the next election!!! Think about it....help us say adios to the Thief!! And thanks again for another hellacious show.
r kish | My quest to see the best band going continues. After being rerouted around residential Bristow and stalled in traffic for 2.5 hours, my wife and I finally made it to the front gates of the parking lot only to be told to turn around and head home as Radiohead was playing their last song.
Anonymous | Come back to DC. Missed half the show due to Nissan Pavilion's incompetence.
Amber Ropiski |
Diana | I was there...the rain was biblical...what a nightmare. Show was great though. An equally great show minus the FLOODS would be appreciated...especially considering the price of tickets/gas, etc.
andrew | absolutely unprofessional. 7 hrs in traffic when I live 30 minutes away. such a piece of shit venue
Anonymous | pleeeeeeeeease!!!! it would mean the world to every last one of us
Donald Pitz | I don't believe you owe it to your fans or anything. I was able to see the show, but I feel terrible for the fans who didn't. There are quite a lot of sad stories about fans turned away by police or staff. Give it a happy ending.
Matt | wow...I can deal with the cold, but raining WHILE it's already cold is a different story all together. it just made it harder to actually enjoy the show since my body was trembling for literally hours. I have been waiting for Radiohead to come to the East Coast region for years and they finally did and of course it wasn't their fault, but nature took a horrific turn for the worst and stranded so many people behind and left others bitterly cold. RADIOHEAD, PLEASE COME TO D.C.!!!!

David Evans | Being scared of floods did kinda suck. hope you play again. Still awsome show
Anonymous | It was absolutely miserable...I would love to see them play another show up there and have it be inside!
Whiny McWhiner | Wow. What a bunch of whiny bitches. Rain or Shine means Rain or Shine. Why would you cancel the show. There were plenty of people who enjoyed Radiohead on Sunday night.
Anonymous | Spent 5 hours in the car waiting to get in. Spent 0 hours watching radiohead.
andrea mulla | please come back!
Luke Hrabal | I beg I plead!
Jeremy Padow | I was part of a group of 5 people who couldn’t get into the Bristow, VA show because of the flooding, the detour, and the Live Nation staff, who blatantly lied to us. We finally made it to the parking lot after 5 hours of driving (leaving at 5:45pm from Fulton, Maryland - a little more than 1 hour away) and then people in Live Nation shirts started turning people away, saying, “There’s only one song left, go home.” We could clearly hear that there were more songs left and I heard the songs "Planet Telex" and "Fake Plastic Trees" when I got out of the car and waded through the water past the police barricade to use the bathroom. I have no idea why the staff of a venue would tell paying ticket-holders to turn around, even when there was still a good portion of the show left and when the parking lot was not even filled to capacity. We were all furious, some of us having originally come from Jersey and even Michigan to see the show. And to top it off, May 11th was my 20th birthday. Ugh. We ended up driving back to Nissan Pavilion yesterday and we spoke to a manager about refunds and about how we were treated. He was a nice guy (anyone else in the area with the same experience should try talking to them in person), and he gave an answer like “we’re working things out with the band now.” He took our tickets and gave us copies, saying that it was just a bad combination of the weather and people leaving late that started the problems, and he took our phone numbers down. I have no idea about what will come of this, but I am looking to see see if maybe Live Nation can help finance tickets for a later show, like Camden, NJ in August, since it is not the money that matters, but the experience. I just found out about this petition for radiohead to come back to our nation's capitol, and I am fully behind this cause. ("fully" does not even begin to describe how much i am behind this. I may have never been in support of a petition so strongly in my entire life.)
Jaime Patterson |
Dustin Sugar-Moore | Never made it into the venue on Sunday, instead sat in traffic for 7 hours only to be turned away at the entrance to the parking lot. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE COME BACK!!
Anonymous | Turned away at the gate at 10:35 pm after over 3 hours of going nowhere...
Wynn | When i heard this happened i was utterly disgusted. Luckily for me i was at the atlanta show... but if this had happened there...i would have been more mad than ever in my life. These fans deserve a make-up show or at least good tickets to another show. Radiohead is a once in a lifetime opprotunity for some and i know this would have destroyed me had it happened to me.
John Venezia | please something metro accessible!
Melissa Thompson | Please. I can't believe I missed them here AND at Bull Run in 2001. I need some karmic payback :)
Edly Hicks |
winxile | My wife and I started out from Baltimore at 4:30 p.m. so we could reasonably expect a trip of at least four hours taking into account traffic. At 10:00 pm.we were circling Nissan Pavillion like lemmings in a never-ending trail of cars bumper to bumper. Police were non-existent, directions were dire, conditions were dangerous. The show should have been cancelled.

JT | sat in the traffic, missed the whole show, 4 tickets never used...Nissan should be closed down. Never been before and never returning.
Anonymous | Seriously guys. It's not like it's that big of a deal. Plus -- this is the eco-friendly way to go.
Italo Rossi del Aguila | I'd feel pretty horrible if that ever happened to me, considering how the band never really plays this part of the world (South America) and I'm likely to suffer from long traveling just to see them in concert. However, here's my support to everyone affected by the weather. It's beyond the band's responsibility, but at least this will help them think about another venue for the next time they want to play the DC area.
Anthony Robinson | Give it a thought!

baxlap | The biggest fiasco I've experienced in 35 years of concert-going. Everyone connect with it should be ashamed, particularly in view of the Bull Run (get the name right, Colin) fiasco of 2001. Radiohead owes the DC market, big time.

Louis Clarkson |
Alex Broadwell | I wasn't able to make it, come back!
Ben Taylor | I was stuck for 5 hours only to get turned around at the gate and lied to (told to turn around because there was only one song left when there were really 8!)
Mathew Chapman |

Austin Stack | I spent 4 hours in traffic with my two best friends trying to get to the show. I luckily have seen Radiohead twice, however this was the FOURTH time one of my friends tried to see them (the two rained out weekend shows in this area several years back and once in Boston) and failed. In fact, he flew down from Boston mainly to catch this very concert. At 10:15, still 4 miles away from the venue in gridlock, he gave up and said we should turn back. The money isn't the main thing (although a refund would be nice for a completely missed concert) its the opportunity to see the band. I would have gladly paid double what my tickets cost if it would have got me to the venue and in my seats before they hit the stage and it would have been well worth it. With that said, I hope Radiohead somehow gets word of this and makes up a DC date.

Shelley Rauch | While Radiohead played an amazing show- what little I saw of it- it would be amazing to see the entire thing at more well vetted venue. Understanding that the boys, of course, are in the midst of a giant tour, could well be difficult to work out the logistics.... but please consider it!
Elizabeth Brooks | PLEASE come back! we drove for 7 hours (though it was only ~70 miles round trip!) and were turned away!
