Mark Hoffmann | Along with the thousands of other who had to rent cars to drive an hour south of the city (and sit in traffic for a total of around six hours), I'm left wondering why not play in DC? We all could have taken the train.

Seth Waite | come on boys, make this wrong right. Verizon center is completely accesible. I will never return to the Nissan Pavilion even if the 4 Beatles were on stage.
Fatimah Aslam | Stuck outside in the venue for 3 hours only to be let into the parking lot at the end of the show. Didn't see the show but got stuck in the parking lot for two hours.
Darian | This was one of the worst concert experiences of my life. Fortunately, unlike some others, I was able to see some of the show. I know it's not RH fault for the rain, or the venue, or the police, or the staff. But, they are in control of what venues they play in. I know for example, that Pearl Jam chose to play the Verizon center instead of Nissan. Also, it may be smaller, but Merriweather in Columbia is much better. Please reconsider for any future tours.

Karen Smith | Had lawn tickets but had to bail b/c of the weather. Hardest part was taking my greatly disappointed 16-year old back in to car, and on mother's day no less (oh, the guilt! but I couldn't justify staying in those conditions--hypothermia, pneumonia). The show should have been canceled, given the flood warnings brought on by endless and heavy rain. Anyone who made it in knows the "lawn" I paid to sit on was not a lawn. Don't want my money back. Want to take my son to see his favorite band.... Please come back Radiohead!

chuck walsh | I saw most of the show, but still this was a disaster of a day. I would love for the band to give some concession to the people who stood on the lawn, and to the people who didn't make it in. I loved the experience but i'm not loving the cold I got because of it.
Anonymous | Thank you for even considering doing this.
James Smalley | Come back any time!!!
Anonymous | sounds good & good luck, there are a lot of determining factors to get a band to play a venue- and your ticket did say "rain or shine"

Beth Jones | I was one of the thousands stuck right outside of the pavilion in flash flooding. There was no organization to get people in or redirected back home. I'm beggin Radiohead to come back, but not to Nissan. Please, I'm begging you, honor our unused Nissan tickets for the Verizon Center.
Hunter Jones | I understand that nobody has control over the weather; however, rain or shine would imply that a venue's logistics are designed to accomodate for even the absolute worst case scenario. I was within 1 mile of the venue when the opening band was scheduled to start and never made it through the entire "detour".

| 123 | Brian Kraynak | We missed more than 1/2 the show due to the traffic - which I believe was totally disorganized, as was the venue.
I will never visit Nissan Pavilion again - even with fair weather.
Come to the Baltimore area and show us what you got! |
Anonymous | This was no charity event. Tickets were 50+ dollars and because of the logistical nightmare that this was many, if not most missed a considerable portion of the show. Many of us had to wait as long as 3 hours to exit this place...and not to mention the drenched cables and wires found all around the Pavillion.
Chris Anderson | PLEASE!

Ashley Via | Please come back!
| 128 | Stephanie | This is Nissan Pavilion's response to my complaint:
Hi [name],
Thank you for contacting Nissan Pavilion regarding your experience on Sunday night. Due to the torrential rain storm, multiple road closures and a late-arriving crowd led to delays for some music fans entering the parking lot at Nissan Pavilion. While we have no control over Mother Nature, we certainly are disappointed that some fans did not make it to the venue.
As a consolation, we would like to offer you complementary lawn tickets to Radiohead?s performance at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, NJ on August 12th. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced Sunday night and hope that this free ticket offer helps to make up for it. |

Matt Roberts | Yeah, totally pissed, we got sent in three different directions to try and figure out how to get in. Once again Nissan Pavilion disappoints. I would rather see the band refuse to ever play the venue again than get a refund, but a second show would be appreciated greatly.
Charlie Hughes |
John C. Harris | Brilliant music, show, stagecraft, and everything--thank you so much. But an absolutely wretched venue. Radiohead and their fans deserve better. Please come back to another Washington DC venue so that the approximately 2.5 million people who live in that area can truly enjoy your wonderful music.
Anonymous | Four hours in traffic after leaving well early enough to get to the venue, only to have horrific traffic patterns and not even make it to the venue. A horrible experience. I am sure Radiohead was great and did all they could, but the Nissan Pavillion should be ashamed of this. I will probably never ever think about seeing a show out there ever again.
Anonymous | Sat in traffic for two hours before making the tough call with myself and two friends to turn around...we may have made it in with about twenty minutes left, but then we would have had to turn around and leave with everyone else, getting stuck in traffic for another several hours.....horrible.
Anonymous | Nissan Pavillion is incapable of accommodating the parking needs of its patrons. As such, many, including me, missed the entire show, despite leaving two hours before the opening act was to play.
Jennifer |
Simon | I was one of the many who arrived in Bristow by the 7.30 show start, willing to miss a bit of the support act, but not expecting to miss the entire show after three hours in stationary traffic.
Nadia Martinez | I missed this show and was heartbroken. Even getting a refund wouldn't make it up because I MISSED RADIOHEAD. Ive been waiting years and years to see them. I did not.
Sam Sierra | Nissan is poorly managed and completed incapable of supporting the mass audiences it claims to be able to handle. The Verizon Center is a nature choice for Radiohead in the future. I would like to see Nissan shut down...it is not safe for concerts.
Will Simpson | I agree wholeheartedly. Being a DC resident and a huge fan of Radiohead for the last 15 years i was very excited for this show. Also believing in the "green movement" we try to use public transit or bicycle as much as possible, and Nissan Pavillion is one of the only venues in the area that are not accessible by transit. Secondarily, the policy of "Rain or Shine" should occasionally be changed when the deluge is of the single highest rain totals of the past decade, and widespread flooding had been predicted hours before the concert. I was very disappointed while sitting in my car for 2.5 hours within 2 miles of the concert.
Anonymous | 4 hours in traffic and out 4 pavilion tickets at $75 a piece. Turned around at the parking lot.
Chris S |
Eric | Disillusionment; isolation; abandonment...themes for the next Radiohead album? Nope, just the way I felt driving home on Sunday after sitting in three hours of traffic and never even getting close to the venue...

Anonymous | Please come back!
Sandra | There were 3 of us who were looking forward to the concert so much! But we never got there. Waited in traffic for 2 hours and then we were diverted away from the road with NO instructions on how to get back. Sat in another line of traffic for another hour and half and then turned away at 10:45. Very, Very, Very dissapointed!! We would love another chance to see them!

Matthew | The show really should have been canceled.
William N. Daski | Obviously, Radiohead cannot control Mother Nature and neither can Live Nation or Nissan Pavilion, but given the fact that the inclement weather started hours and hours before the show occurred, I feel that the venue failed to ensure that patrons could travel to and from the show safely. It is their responsibility to provide fans with the opportunity to see a "rain or shine" performance and by not preparing for the weather or at least addressing it with sandbags and competent alternative routes into the venue, thousands of fans were cheated out of the experience of a live show. This injustice will not stand.
