53716 BrendaI have missed 2 weeks of work due to cymbalta withdrawal & I am still having problems. I weaned off of it like my P.A. instructed, but I still had the horrible withdrawal symptoms. She said that she never heard of anybody having this bad of symtoms. She had me on 90mg. & then the next week of 60mg. & the next week 30mg. & the next week nothing. That same week with nothing, I was hit with severe symtoms. I could not even get my head off my pillow & when I did the room spun & then came the nausea. I had several other symtoms also! Apparently the Drs. are not informed of the horrible withdrawal symtoms of this drug!!

53741 Elizabeth FayeI was on the lowest dose of Cymbalta. I tapered down by going to every other day, then every third over 20 days. On going to every other day I experienced the following: auditory hallucinations, brain zaps, visual disruptions, chest pain (went to the ER for that), chest compressing, cold/hot swings, stutters, insomnia. I reported these to the FDA. I was taking this for nerve pain following a sports accident. If I had known about these withdrawal symptoms I would have never taken Cymbalta to start. It is an addictive psychotropic drug, not the harmless "kittens and flowers" drug marketed in the DTC ads. Shame on Eli Lilly.

It has still given me uncontrolable thoughts and feelings. Besides, nausea, diarrhea, sweating, shaking,and the one that is the hardest to deal with which are thye brain shocks. If I was you and you are thinking of getting on Cymbalta, I would do everything possible not to. This medicine should be so far available to people.
