Kate Myers | The only way this disease will ever be correctly diagnosed is when the medical profession begins to recognize that it is not as rare as once thought and is willing to do testing on anyone with symptoms of Cushing's. I hope for a day when people don't have to go years with symptoms before they are recognized as a potential Cushing's patient.

Anonymous | Anything I can do to help! I'm still waiting to see if I have cushings but had all tests and negative. Having pituitary cyst removed soon hopefully possibly rathke cleft cyst. Good luck to all!
Teresa Belyea | My 17 year old lovely daughter is thought to have Cushings, diagnosed by a Dr. who is a friend of the family, but ever since the initial ufc test came back elevated, not only has her symptoms gotten worse, but the test results have come back in the normal range every time. I have cried myself to sleep so many times because I don't even recorgize my own child anymore. Why can't someone help? I am tired of supposedly experts in their field telling her to go back home and lose weight. She is a distance swimmer and swims between 6-8 thousand yards at every practice. I don't think exercise is her problem. Please make Cushing Disease a top priority to finding an easier diagnostic test for diagnosis and to finding a cure.

| 33 | Adrienne Lilley | I have had Cushing's Syndrome for THIRTEEN years, and I am delighted to sign this petition for a nationally recognized day of awareness. All publicity is good as this is a disease that is growing in numbers exponentially as the rise in steroid prescriptions rise for allergies, asthma, etc. Indeed, it certainly appears MANY people have some form of the illness that is missed until they expire of other causes. Not only do steroids play a pivotal role in Cushing's, tumors of the pituitary and adrenal glands are insidious and normal metabolic functions can only be restored upon removal and what usually ends up as years of necessary corticosteroid treatment.
I can't wait to celebrate and educate on this April 8... because of course this MUST pass! Thank you for your hard work Cher and Autumn-- and in advance, thank you to my family and friends-- all of whom KNOW what I continue to go through with this illness. |

CINDY CONATZER | I am a devoted supporter and am aware of Cushing's Syndrome. Awareness should and will be passed throughout the USA and other countries. April 8th will bring hope along with relief that others will understand and know what Cushings Syndrome is all about.

Maureen Smith | I figured out my daughter had cushings when all the doc ignored me. Never giveup! Don't let the doctors dismiss your concerns. If I had, my daughter could have been dead by now. Remeber, you are your best advocate!!
Tricia L. Francis | I am a current Cushing's Disease patient with an inoperable pituitary macroadenoma. This disease is very dibilitating and devastating. I went mis/undiagnosed for nearly 24 years it is estimated. If more recognition were given to this disease maybe some will be diagnosed sooner and not have as difficult a time for getting relief or cure as I have had.
M.C. Trempe | My best friend having drug induced (from medical negligence) Cushing's is what introduced me to this desease. She was very young then, and in her thirties now, living with Cushing's is all that awaited her in her adulthood and if this desease was better known, others like her could be prevented from the horrible body and mental pain Cushies have to live with every day. This is why I am signing this petition.
Emily Russell | It's about time Cushing's got some recognition.
Melissa Addison | This ugly disease does not have to happen to beautiful people. Let's make the medical community and families aware "it is not all in your head" although, sometimes that is where it can start.

Julie Heath | We battled for a diagnosis for over 12 years for my husband. Now, he appears to be going into end stages because much of the treatment has happened way too late. Please help stop this insane cycle of undiagnosis, misdiagnosis and incredible pain that Cushings sufferers and their families go through. Thank you.
