This statement is a collaborative effort by representatives of organizations that are committed to ending US government restrictions on travel to Cuba.

* HR 654 was submitted by Representative Charles Rangel (D-NY) with Representative Jeff Flake (R-AZ) and has obtained the bipartisan co-sponsorship of 120 members of the House. S 721 introduced by Senator Mike Enzi (R-WY) with Senator Byron Dorgan (D-ND) has 24 bipartisan co-sponsors. In June Senators Max Baucus (D-MT)and Mike Crapo (R-ID) submitted S 1673 and Representatives Rangel and Jo Ann Emerson (R-MO)submitted HR 2819. The new bills bundled the same language to end travel restrictions with provisions to facilitate sale of US agricultural and medical products and protection of copyrights. Representative William Delahunt is a cosponsor of HR 654 and also submitted legislation addressing only family travel, HR 757.
