The petition

We the undersigned oppose Texas HB 1334 and any other bill which would allow the general use of crossbows in the “Special Archery Season” as this applies to game laws in the State of Texas.

This opposition is not to be construed as exclusionary in nature or as opposition to the current allowance for persons with an upper limb disability, but does apply to any additional use of crossbows during the Archery Only Season.

This opposition is a result of the polling of LSBA Members as well as an independent polling of bowhunters in Texas taken on a neutral website. Both polls showed an overwhelming percentage of Texas bowhunters do not wish to see any changes made to the current laws regarding the use of crossbows during the Archery Only Season.

This petition may be presented to State Representatives, Senate Members, and the Governor of Texas throughout the legislative processing of this Bill and generally used to aid the Lone Star Bowhunters Association in their efforts to preserve the current Archery Only Season and help to secure the future of bowhunting in Texas.
