Gary HillLevein has finally stood up against the old firm and he will be punished - every other manager in the spl should be backing him up for having the balls to do what he has don
AnonymousWords fail me yet one week later. Terrible decisions. Surely you cannot allow Levien to be punished for telling the truth. All clubs outwith the Old Firm will see the injustice here.

ANDY ARMSTRONGWHY CNT THEY JUST GO AND PLAY IN THIER OWN LEAGUE
Haroon JunaidiGo on Craig, well done for taking a bold stance. The manager's seat is being dusted for you at HMFC.
David Currie
Colin CurrieI've been worn down over years of bias and poor refereeing, as a Dundee United fan that game was the final straw. I will no longer be going to Tannadice or any other Scottish grounds. It might cost more but I'm now officially a Portsmouth fan.

PaulFor some reason a lot of the people leaving comments here are inclined to suggest that 'Old Firm' bias is the subject here. It's no'. Mike McCurry is a self proclaimed Rangers fan and one of the brothers and all that. His conduct that day was a disgrace and I'm sure the fact that he is retiring encouraged him to push the boat out one last time to hand Rangers the title. Celtic are completely irrelevant in this arguement. Hail Hail
katy whitelaw
Laura Davidsonwell done Craig About time someone stood up to the Refs =D good on yah!
david prenticeits all about the blue and green who cares about tangerine!!!
AnonymousNo man has ever been more correct in picking up the single biggest issue holding scottish football back. If there was a more level playing field then the standard would improve We only want openness and honesty. And a fair chance.
Diarmid Ross
Steve ThawAgree with Mr Levein 100%, bias by referees toward both halves of the Old Firm has been going on for a verylong time, certainly all my 33 years anyway!

Stuart RobertsonFor too long now the old firm have benefited from ref bias and it must stop NOW!
Barney Mc Reynolds100% Well said Craig.
Lee Hewat
Ian RossAbout time somebody spoke up against the bias shown towards the old firm teams always in their favour of course .These type of refereeing mistakes are driving people away from football as it is totally unfair to the supporters

martynCraig was well justified in his outburst, the SFA holding there decision until August is a sign of guilt in my book. (shed rule)
Andrew Rendallits about time someone spoke up about the constant bias that our referees show towards the old firm, especially in Glasgow. Hopefully this will be the first step towards a change in scottish football!
Paul
AnonymousCraig should commended for speaking openly and honestly about the refereeing displays in the Cup final and at Ibrox. This is not about McCurry but about the constant lack of consistancy when visiting teams play at Cetic or Rangers. This has been going on for many years. I hope the SFA actually address the problem and not focus on the fact the Levein simply expressed the opinion of many real football supporters.
morris holmsI doubt if this religious hypocrite will ever enter heaven . Will the story of his membership of the hated Orange Lodge ever be published . It is not long ago that Orange Parades were welcomed officially at Ibrox . Well done Craig . McCurry is corrupt and all of Scotland knows it .

kitalbaAll decent supporters of football in Scotland are grateful for your words Craig. I hope you are allowed to continue your career without any insiduous interference. Good luck Craig and Dundee United
Paul PhillipsWell said Craig! SFA are hoping yhat this will somehow disappear come August. Shows complete lack of leadership from an organisation that cannot even find a sponsor for the Scottish Cup.
AnonymousI am an old firm fan but yet I agree that the game in question was of such bias that something has to be done. Levein simply said what everyone was thinking and the referee in question has quite a history with such matches. The SFA are so incompetent that it's laughable.
John McCCraig Levien got it right straight after the match 'I'm not talking about the Old Firm'. Rangers have been getting these decisions for as long as they have existed. It's a Rangers Bias - Celtic have nothing to do with this.
WinningGemmellCraig well done chappy thanks for standing up against the Smith's Walter,Gordon and John
James anthony barr100% behind Craig. Remember, however, that he corrected the interviewer who said `Old Firm`. Craig made it clear he was talking about Rangers.he media invariably refers to the `Old Firm` when it helps Rangers eg Old Firm Five = 4 Rangers players plus the a very suspect inclusion of an obviously fit Barry Robson to justify the Old Firm tag when Rangers had 4 injured who were all fit a few days later for the Celtic game.So support Crai but do not trust the media re. Old Firm bias.
AnonymousLevein is the guy who finally stood up to Scotland's Shame and just like the incidents in Tiananmen Square 1989 declared that this biased and corrupt behaviour could go on no longer, well done that man. To think he is to be punished other that knighted is a disgrace.
bankiebhoy1Well done Craig, your initial reaction to Brither Mike hit the nail on the head. The bias shown towards R@@@ers especially last season was hunbeleivable. McCurry's audacity was the really infuriating part - he knew he'd get away with it. In this issue Celtic have more in common with DUFC than other posters realise.
NafosCraig can i get some money from this petirion to buy my mates a Cqn badge and a T shirt and enough to buy them a drink yours Cheep Chick
Polly67the substandard refereeing in scotland needs to be brought to attention, craig levein was bang on with his comments and reaction. Good lick for next season Dundee Utd, a second place finsih perhaps.......
RKI don't know where this myth came from that the SPL/SFA didn't try to help Rangers/Scotlands Shame win the league. As far as i could see, they done everything in their power to help them. McCurry being a chief tool in this attempted farce and then by extending the league for another week (unheard of outside Scotland). Well correct me if I'm wrong but didn't both United and Chelsea get to a Champions League final and also then fight it out for the league on the last day of the season. Why then didn't the EPL extend their league by a couple of weeks? Also, I don't think United would have postponed a game against Derby to prepare for Lyon. Levein was spot on, McCurry is cheat (pun intended) and it is he who should be punished and not Levein!
JamesIt is about time that managers took action like this when face with such bais. Like all sensible football fans all we want is a level playing field to allow our teams fairly. Simple really.
mcgraininspainBold words and the sheer righteousness of his outburst should send shivers down the collective spine of those that claim to be the stewards of football in Scotland. There are thousands football supporters in Scotland and across the world who feel embarrassment and anger at the state of the game when so many so-called called legislators, administrators and arbitrators of our game clearly favour one club. Gaun’ yersel’ Craig Levein!
FreddieCraig Levein seems to me an honest, sensible straight talking guy. Obviously too honest and sensible for the SPL.

Peter McI have already written to Mr Levein and to Gordon Smith on the matter in particular. To Mr Smith I pointed out Mr Mc Curry's tendencies in decision making when refereeing one particular team . To Mr Levein I praised particularly in his intial interview for telling it how it was viz. that this is not an "Old Firm" problem but one that related specifically to team playing Rangers when something is at stake for Rangers. He could just as easily have made a case for the disgraceful lack of guts shown by Kenny Clark in the League Cup Final when he failed to award a glaring penalty when Cuellar arm wrestled the Utd full back to the ground. "You can fool etc comes to mind." Thanks to tv replays the chickens are finally coming home to roost.

ScottCraig Levein was absolutely spot on with his initial remarks after the match. A pro-rangers bias has been evident for as long as i can remember. It was unfortunate that Eddie Thomson tried to dilute the remarks by attempting to make it an 'old firm' issue. Everyone with any sense can see what Craig saw that day. And I include decent Rangers fans in this group also.
