Terry RobertsI can not count the experiences that I remember from my youth through the present at the Cow Palace. It would be a criminal act to tear down such a historical place. Native Bay Area people have suffered watching the beauty and history of the area being developed for the last 45 years. It is time to draw the line. Terry L. Roberts C.M.Eq.D.
DIANE CARDOZATHIS IA A HISTORICAL LANDMARK THAT NEEDS TO BE KEPT. WE DON'T NEED MORE LOW INCOME HOUSING. WE NEED TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET PEOPLE OFF OF THE WELFARE SYSTEM AND WORKING ON THEIR OWN. I PAY ENOUGH TAXES I DON'T NEED TO SUPPORT MORE PEOPLE BY PUTTING IN LOW INCOME HOUSES. I WORKED HARD AND BOUGHT MY HOUSE WITHOUT ASSISTANCE ON MY OWN THEY CAN TOO... BESIDES CA. IS SUPPOSE TO BE AN AGRICULTURE STATE WE NEED TO SUPPORT THAT ASPECT OF CA BY LEAVING THE COW PALACE AND GIVING YOUNG PEOPLE A PLACE TO GROW BY SHOWING LIVESTOCK.

AnonymousDear Senator Yee, I am a resident of Daly City and I sincerely treasure having Cow Palace for different kinds of ball games, concerts, and fairs. It's not only close to my home, but it's also located an easily access location. Please do not torn it down. Thank you!

Anonymousive had so much fun in the cow palace and ive had good memories so keep the cow palace LIVING!!!!!!!!!!
Ronile BrooksPLease save the Cow Palace and assure the future of this cultural centere by allowing a lease of the in question 13 acres to Daly City in lieu of an outright sale. Providing the facility with operating income is a must to maintaining the facility in perpetuity! thanking you in advance for your support, Ronile Brooks
AnonymousAs a native of Marin, I grew up attending events at the Cow Palace. And now, as a parent, I have taken my daughter to many events there as well. Where else can our youth experience a local livestock show and rodeo? The Cow Palace is a historically significant venue. Please do not sacrafice it so that developers can build yet more strip malls and condos. Save the Cow Palace for us and for future generations.
Janet McKennathe Cow Palace should be considered a historic landmark! I find it appalling that the city want to add more congestion with a strip mall.........The last thint that is needed there. I grew up in Daly City went to concerts, circus', rodeos, car and boat shows etc.... when i had children we would go and watch the circus animals come to town up Geneva Ave. How can that tradition be banished forever?? It's downright un-American! Please , Please keep the Cow Palace.
Anonymousthis is a remarkable and singular icionic structure which provides for such a vast array of events for so many people to enjoy. it needs to endure.

AnonymousPlease dont sell Cow Palace. It is such a great piece of history for San Francisco. It would be a shame to know it is no longer there.
R. BluskyI have traveled from the East Bay to attend many events at the Cow Palace over the last half century. It would truly be tragic and short-sighteed to lose it. It is a unique, historic, and valuable asset for the entire Bay Area!
Jennifer MasonPlease keep me informed on how Ican help Save The Cow Palace. I spent half my childhood there showing livestock. Jennifer

AnonymousPLEASE! DO NOT TAKE THE COW PALACE AWAY FROM THE BAY AREA FOR CONSTRUCTION ON HOMES, CONDOS ETC. I VERY MUCH ENJOY EVERY YEAR TO GO AND SEE THE RODEO AS FOR OTHER EVENTS THAT WE WOULD NOT HAVE IF IT WAS TORN APART. I HOPE WISH WE GET ENOUGH VOTES SO IT COULD BE STILL THERE .

Teresa PatelAs the owner of BridgePoint Inn located on Geneva Ave I have to say a BIG thank you to everyone who put forth the effort to save the Cow Palace. Our bussiness thrives off the shows at the Cow Palace and we back the savethecowpalace movement. Daly City does not need anymore housing. We need business and business means revenue and revenue means tax money that we pay as business owners to the city of Daly City. Once again thank you for hearing our comments and seeing our passion to save the Cow Palace. Now lets work on a plan to get the community and city involved to make the Cow Palace a safe, fun place for families and businesses to gather and make many more years of memories! Thank You Senator Yee

Candace ReinhardDestruction of the Cow Palace would further remove us from the roots of the west; the roots that built California. Keep this place alive for the youth of today who live the western life, they are some of the few with left with good values.

Michael D. FeinsteinThis important venue must be saved for future generations. There are few, if any, affordable facilities in the Bay area to hold indoor car shows and other events of interest to the citizens in the area.
Danielle Hawes
Layne EvansThe Cow Palace has been a great loaction for many events that would not fit into other facilities. We regularly attend events there that we would otherwise not attend due to the location. It seems a waste to destroy an historic building such as this to put in yet another shopping center and more homes, We have enough of those around as it is, there is only one Cow Palace.
Teresa LocatelliPlease save the Cow Palace!
Alyce PogueWe need to help preserve our landmarks in Calif. and the Cow Palace is one of them.
Maleni SanchezIt would be tragic to get rid of a place that provides family entertainment and family bonding.

R&B ForsterWe remember fondly attending what we think is the first Dickens Christmas Fair at the Cow Palace and still talk about how authentic and magical it was. We now live up north but if we know the Fair will take place in '08 or '09 we plan to visit the Cow Palace and South City!
Bonnie AbelI love the yearly fower and garden show.

AnonymousThanks for keeping the much needed Cow Palace!!
acohen36This person remembers those great concerts and shows of all types from years past, all held at the Cow Palace. Some fascinating big history at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cow_Palace Would be an awful shame to lose this great historical place to Yee and Daly City's current proposal-of-the-year . Remember this: Once this is torn down, we'll never get the Cow Palace back again!

MeganIt would be a sin to destroy such a loved historical landmark. The Cow Palace is an important piece of history for California, rodeo and the equestrian world. What the world needs are more landmarks...not more traffic congestion and strip malls.
RobertThe Cow Palace is worth saving. Condos and strip malls are not worth pursuing. Weigh the cultural costs/benefits and save the cow palace long term.

AnonymousAs a Bay Area native I feel the Cow Palace should be saved. Grand National is a prestigious show for the horsemen and women of the Bay Area. To have it moved elsewhere would be heartbreaking. It's a tradition that should be up held in this day and age.
Virginia MagnoneI am a Native San Franciscan and grew up with the Cow Palace. i GO TO THE Grnd National every year and saw the Beatles there. My big sister always took me thre when we had the Seals Ice Hockey games. Don't tear this down like Playland!!!
RachelleSome of my biggest childhood memories are from the Cowpalace..
Kevin BergstromSoy Californiano! I've shown livestock, met friends I still have and even watch my uncle take home the buckle at this legendary place. California, don't turn your back on your heritage and important places just because some businesses want to plow under our future and make a buck. I never saw a store that sold history and you'll always find an acre or so of nowhere to build somewhere else.
