Revoke Conrad Black's Order of Canada

The petition

We, the undersigned, call upon the Canadian government to rescind Conrad Black's Order of Canada in light of his criminal conviction for fraud and obstruction of justice and in light of the fact that previous Order of Canada recipients who have been subsequently convicted of criminal offences, such as Alan Eagleson and David Ahenakew, were stripped of their Order of Canada in similar circumstances. We also demand that the government expel Black from the Queen's Privy Council for Canada, in which he was inducted in 1992 on the recommendation of Brian Mulroney, and recall the diplomatic passport that he received as a result of his being a member of that body.
