Thanksgiving "Going Cold Turkey" Energy Pledge

The petition

Eco-action, Student Government and Outdoor Education invite all members of the Georgetown Community to take the following pledge:

This Thanksgiving Break, to make Georgetown more environmentally friendly, I pledge to reduce my energy consumption by:

1) Turning off lights
2) Closing windows
3) Turning heat to low setting
4) Unplugging appliances and electronics (TVs, PCs, laptops, stereos, etc.)

The floor with most particpants will get a killer party in its honor. This will be determined using signatures from the pledges your senators circulated. For security reasons, DO NOT post your room number and the specific address of your residence on the online petition.

This pledge is a powerful message and the first step of many towards reducing Georgetown's ecological footprint.
