Yes - I do think that things have degenerated... but I do not think that calling on people who are intelligent, who try to tell the truth, who see folly and merit on "both sides" is in any way settling or scraping the bottom of the degenerate barrell. It's just taking the time to recognize where, in modern society, the qualities of the leader we would want actually exist. |
