Improve Spectator Safety at CPHS Fastpitch Fields!

The petition

To: Anoka/Hennepin District #11 School Board members and the CPHS Athletic Director:

From: Concerned High School and Youth Fastpitch Fans/Spectators

Spectator safety at the Champlin Park High School Fastpitch complex needs immediate improvement!!!

With 4 fields in close proximity and only minimal backstops, there have been many minor injuries from balls leaving one field of play and hitting spectators watching games on other field of play. It is only a matter of time before a spectator is seriously injured by a batted ball.

We urge the CPHS Athletic Director and/or the A/H #11 School Board to immediately commission a study to determine the appropriate means (i.e. extensions on backstops and/or safety netting over spectator areas) of improving spectator safety at the CPHS Fastpitch complex.
