We were NEVER warned by the Psychiatrist or the Pharmacy about the Black Box Warning, we need tougher laws to protect our kids. .. I have to give my signature & show my drivers license when I buy Sudafed @ the drug store but no one said a Word to me when I filled my son's prescription for Prozac..? The pharmacy said it was not required of them, that job fell on the Doctor & of course the Dr fixed his records to say that he had warned us but could produce no proof of this. They should be required have patients sign a consent form aknowledging that they have been warned of the Dangers of SSRI's. |

Because I've recently been trying to help my daughter's suicidal boyfriend, recently diagnosed with bi polar...I believe that it was his anti depressants that caused this....went through ECT with him...terrifying...and I believe that he will still suicide. My so called psychiatrist put me on 3 antidepressants and a sleeping pill at very different times which he would stop them very adruptly during a 4 month period between april to august of 2006 causing really severe excruicating physically internally , psychological , emotionally damage and severe toxic poisoning 2 me . These drugs are very dangerous but the mental health system just don't care . They r only interested in the money and me and many others like ur poor daughter r used as guniea pigs , i am sad 2 say . I know it feels 2 lose a child myself . My 16 years old son was killed by a train . Then my uncle died . Then i gave 2 my daughter . Then my so called psychiatrist came 2 me and prescribed me all with these drugs within the next 4 months . I am only 39 years old and my life is definitely over . Every1 has turned their backs on me . Even my own family . I am british who lives in england . I have lost everything . U tell these so called psychiatrists about what these drugs has done 2 people lifes , mimds , brains and bodies and they greet u with total disbelief . Pharmacutical Companies have to much power and that is dangerous. I rememeber a song in the late 60s that had a verse that goes EVERY THING YOU THINK DO AND SAY IS IN THE PILL YOU TOOK TODAY. Psychiatry is a fraud. I didn't need antidepressants, just someone to talk to. Now look at what was has happened - 11 lonely years and no sexual feelings. I only took antidepressants foe 8 months. I hate the drug companies and the universities should be raided and all psychiatric books burnt on piles and psychiatry banned as anti-science. Psychiatry was just a hoax to make loads of money. | 1430 | Anonymous | I'am so sorry for the loss of your daughter.I too suffered from depression losing my Mother in 1998 which the doc increased my prozac to 60 mg.Which caused some paranoia.I was then diagnosed from that point as bi-polar taking 1500 mg of depakote for 6 years.I got off that medicine & zoloft in 2005. Now im finally free from that medicine s--- which is all bull-s---...Shame on those so called doctors.I also lost my sis IN Nov.2007.r.i.p. Kathy.Now coping with anger & betrayel about the docs. |

They are even being prescribed by non-psychiatrists. When mixed with alcohol, a dreamlike state can result combined with a violent fantasy - which likely occurred during many of the school shootings. |

He was very paranoid and was put on anti-psychotics and after 4 months diagnosed as paranoid schizophrenic. after 6 years of no real help for himself, he quit drugs and was so much worse than before. It is one year now and he has improved but there is real evidence of much brain damage caused by the anti-psychotic drugs. There is little to no help for him in the system. We need more support when we are battling for the lives of our loved ones. Suppressing behaviors and speech through drugs is an escape for cold-hearted, self-centered world. |
