That is when we found out he was taking anti-depressants and the mixture of drugs he was perscribed was not correct and that these drugs cause people to have suicidal thoughts. Although I was shocked when I heard the news of Sarina's death, I was not shocked when mom sent her email out today. Somehow, I had an inner feeling that drugs were the cause of her dire actions against herself. I have another friend who's family had the same experience, and although they had no proof that it was the drugs she was on, I know it was.
Camille, I will be happy to sign your petition, but I do believe there are other things that can be done.
Have you thought about a class action suit against the pharmaceutical company? Have you thought of notifying the FDA about your plans? Are you a 501-c-3 organization (non-profit) that allows people to deduct their donations? You might wish to start a "membership" list in order to do that.
Also.......to reach a further audience, you might consider teaming up with other organizations that are also against the dire results of over-medication. Are you aware that the 3rd leading cause of death in this country is "IATRAGENIC DISEASE"....death caused by over-medication.
Right now, I am a volunteer with Natural Solutions Foundation (www.healthfreedomusa.org. We are a non-profit that is alerting the public about what the plans are that the FDA is taking to "comply" with the Codex Commissions recommendations. The Codex commission is funded by Big Pharma, and Big Chema...and their plans are to lessen the immune system in order for people to become more reliant on Rx perscriptive drugs. Our Founder is an M.D. who is on to them, and she probably would be a magnificent supporter of your cause....and our legal council would probably be very helpful in advising you the best way to go with this. If you are interested, please let me know and I will make the connections. Your mom met Dr. Laibow when she was here last month. Ask her opinion about what I am suggesting to you.

| 100 | Tina Cattani | I was on Prozac for a while and in 2004 attempted suicide. I already had suicidal thoughts but the Prozac took away the inhibition to do it, and I did it. I truly believe the Prozac may have been responsible. I am not on anti-depressants any longer and I have the normal "fear" not to even attempt suicide. I have learned behavioral teckniques to work through the depression stages and have never had to go back on drugs again. We want new drugs for depression, w/out the horrendous side effects!! Doctors, listen up. Don't just prescribe anti-depressants to anyone. Get them to a shrink so he can decide what is right for them. Shrinks, listen up, get them to a pscologist so they can teach them life changes, and behavior modifications. They may not even need drugs at all!! This is a cry for help, listen to us. |
