Linda Allen | I believe this would've helped my nephew who was born with a congenital heart defect...luckily he was one of the small percentage that survived past the first 20 minutes so that Vanderbilt was able to save him.
valerie ellison | this might have saved my cusin's life

Judie | I have a granddaughter who was born with a heart that had to be surgically one year ago. We knew before she was born that she would need heart surgery. All parents need to know prior to delivery that their child has a heart defect and what can be done about it. Thank you.

Tina Van Name | I lost my son to a congenital heart defect. Don't let a baby go unexpectedly to a heart defect that could have been detected.

| 1476 | Kristi Weathers | My son and my great niece both were born with congenital heart defects; my son's condition was diagnosed immediately; my niece was 3 weeks old before hers was diagnosed; she almost died.
Her defect could have been diagnosed in the nursery had a pulse oximetry reading been done!! |
Megan Moore | Please make this test become part of all other regular newborn screening tests...it is so important!
Tina M. Walp | pulse oximetry is such a quick, easy & painless way to test newborns. I have heard of too many people who didn't find out until much later that something was wrong with their little one, and simple pulse oximetry would have probably prevented the mistake in the first place!

Kerri Pennington | I have a 9 month old baby girl with HLHS. We were fortunate to have known her CHD before I gave birth, however I know many families who didn't know their child had a CHD until a problem came up. It is so much more beneficial to know ASAP! A pulse Ox is a very easy means of detection, but could make a huge difference in detecting CHDs.

Susan Sanford | I support these tests and all other research that is possible for Congenital Heart Disease in newborns. There are so many cases now a days that this should have been mandatory years ago.
Tonya Kelsey | we found out when our 8 year old son was 6 that he was born with CHD.I think this test is very important,if we would have had this test we he was born i would have known then.
