| 2447 | Peter Russell | I would really like to see the CGMS system covered by insurance. I do not see how you can say that CGMS is not a medical necessity.. Yes I will still have to prick my finger befroe taking insulin.. And i will still have to check in the morning and at night..
The benefit comes in the fact i will be alerted In advance when my sugar starts taking a turn for the worse. It will also let me see how different foods affect my blood sugar and gain a better understanding of how fast and severely they affect the Blod sugar, Thus leading me to better control and understanding of how food and insulin work together and i can finally have normalized blood sugars.
