First things first CBC, you choose to move JPOD to friday evenings, its rating were fine on tuesdays, but you moved it in the hopes of helping MVP do better. I wont lie I've seen both shows, I've seen most shows, I am one of the viewers that watches CBC continously, but cancelling JPOD with out giving it a real chance, I'm sorry I can't respect that. Please think about your desicion. |

| 205 | Dave Semko | It's hard to understand this decision given the popularity of this show on the internet and by british and US viewers as well. The Nielson boxes don't seem to be reflecting the demographic you were chasing with this show.
I never watch CBC but came on board for this show. Its a shame that the television end of your business seems to be lagging behind the radio end which is programming plenty for younger viewers in an attempt to increase its current and future listening base.
Don't forget that viewers you attract to jpod are also being attracted to other shows you advertise like Little Mosque on the Prarie which at first glance, does not have as much popular apeal as jpod to the 20 to 40 crowd.
I would hope you at least attempt a DVD release with some extra content by the actors, directors, and writers, before you make your final decision. You may be surprised at the results. If sales are low, then you have your answer. An answer I don't thing Nielson can give you beyond all their advertising at how statistically accurate the algorithms are. |
