| 199 | Kathryn MacDonald | It is unfortunate that the CBC has decided to cancel one of the best shows I've seen on its network in a long time. In fact, when it was moved to Friday nights I made an effort to stay in just to watch it in hopes that it wouldn't get cancelled. As a young Canadian taxpayer I feel as if the CBC is failing its mandate by not providing shows for Canadians in my age bracket (20-30). Did I mention my mother also loves this show and makes an effort to watch it? If the CBC is looking for ways to save money may I suggest cutting shows such as Air Farce, which is inconsistent, a dinosaur, and last Friday night (Feb. 29) aired an incredibly tasteless and unfunny sketch about Richard Zednik which actually made me turn off my tv. While the CBC provides other quality programming it makes me sad to see a new, quality CANADIAN show gather a fanbase and then promptly get snuffed out. Sigh, I guess such is the way of good Canadian shows. And some people wonder why CTV is doing so well. |
