| 277 | Michelle Tompkins | I can't imagaine Canada without a CBC. I feel it's the most acurtate source out there (though I was unhappy with it's coverage of the Dossa debate.) For the arts, it's essential. I enjoy Eleanore Whatchel's interviews and Soo Kin Lee's DNTO. I also feel that the aboriginal peoples of Canada would have a harder time being heard if it wasn't for CBC. (I would have never learned of the lynching of Louis Sam in my history classes.) The CBC's coverage of environmental issues has increased. As a Canadian, the environment is my number one concern at the moment. The the role of the media is to monitor the powers. I'm proud that Canada isn't infested with the likes of CNN, ABC, or NBC. |

I thrilled to John and Judy, Ozzie and Harriet, The Inner Sanctum, The Happy Gang, The Arthur Godfrey Show, to name a few. I still enjoy listening to the many programs that are featured on CBC radio as well as tv. Funds are needed to continue to deliver quality programs on CBC. Keep our heritage alive and flourishing. |
