| 303 | Anonymous | I'd like to see the CHP fight some real crimes. Spending entire shifts pulling people over for tinted windows is complete crap and a total waste of MY tax money. |
| 304 | Thaya Kareeson | From the outside 35% seems pretty visible to me |

| 307 | Michael Orchard | I disagree with this law aswell, when it comes to weaving through traffic and speeding to catch someone who has window tint on their front windows is putting more people at risk than having the window tint. Not only that, but to pull someone over just for that is rediculous when there are people speeding and driving reckless on the freeways, window tint should be the least of the concerns. If they are worried about gangs and people trying to hide, then more than likely they are not going to want that kind of attention and not have the window tint to avoid being pulled over and avoid any attention that would be drawn to them. The only thing it does it help officers meet their quotas, which they are not supposed to have, but I have friends who are police officers and have admitted to having quotas. Not only that, but then law enforcement should not have window tint either on their personal vehicles, nor their patrol cars. They set the example. |
| 308 | Dennis O'Keefe | Finally someone that does not feel sorry for the officers safety. Nobody forces you to take a job you don't want! I would just like to add, that in a state the is trying to go "GREEN" the use of tint is obviously a cheap solution to excessive A/C use on hot days. Since I tinted my windows illegally (and cited twice) I have greatly reduced my A/C use in the summer time. I think cops fear "real criminals" and so it is much easier to pick on the easy prey. If it is for the officers safety, then why allow darker tint in the back windows? This makes no sense, as do most of our crazy laws. I will continue to pay the fine for the tint and we will continue to see officers die in the line of duty by criminals with untinted windows..."Whatcha Gonna Do, When They Come For You?" |
| 309 | Anonymous | i want this law be change.. strict california law. |

| 311 | Vu | I've gotten my car stolen before and one reason might be because they can see things in my car, so i'm all for the petition if it helps me protect my belongings because you cant take things like a drive play screen down everytime. so im all for it, at lease 35% in CA. |
| 312 | Sampath T Chandra | |
| 313 | jamie trapasso | you wouldn't join the army and expect to not get in harms way. you shouldnt join a police force and expect to not face any danger. i think a 35% tint is fine safe enough for everyone. |
| 314 | ARIANNE | I AGREE, WITH THE CHANGE IN CLIMATE AND THE OZONE FURTHER DEPLITING, WE NEED UV PROTECTION! 35 % STILL ALLOWS OFFICERS TO SEE IN THE CAR! THEY SHOULD INVEST THEIR TIME IN SOLVING REAL CRIMES! I JUST GOT 35% TINT IN MY CAR, IT HELPS ALOT!!!..
AND THIS ST**** LAW CAN KISS MY A**!! |
| 315 | Junior | If the issue is officer safety, Why not only ticket those who don't roll down their windows when the officer approaches the vehicle? |

| 318 | Anonymous | My windows are tinted about 50% and I can't see anything at night - can't even see my side mirrors because of the tinting (all I see is a reflection of my air vent) - but the car looks great from the outside!
FYI:UV light does not penetrate glass - could we shave out "and UV" and then I'll sign the petition. |
| 319 | Sylvia | I think it's silly to. I'm trying to get window tint and it seems like they're NO OPTIONS because they only offer 50% in most cases. |
| 320 | Anonymous | how many "signatures" do we need to get this law changed? I hope this is not a ploy to just get email addresses |
| 321 | Jaime Viramontes | say no to skin cancer. yes to window tint. |

| 328 | Anonymous | This is a waste of time for the police and for the owners of the tinted vehicles. Lets change this law. |
| 329 | Anonymous | This window tint law needs to be changed! We get too much sun! IM BURNING UP! |
| 330 | martin garcia | |
| 331 | Abu Laila Al Khair | why manufactured cars can have tint on front windows and others don't. this law discriminates between poor and wealthy. also, this law is not equally enforced. if i have to remove it, let manufactured ones be removed as well. the problem is: i can force common ppl but i can't force car industry lobby because they pay me and they voted for me! |
| 332 | Richard | |
| 333 | Anonymous | I'd like to see the issue expanded. Let's defund rural highway patrol and motorcycle cops. They are nothing more than tax collectors empowered by bad law. |
| 334 | Joe rosas | I agree that the state of California should be able to have at the most 35% of tint on the front passenger windshields.it is still see thriugh and it is only to block out some of those harmful uv rays.no% tint is just ridiculous. |

| 336 | Anonymous | This is about the stupist law for drivers. California drivers are wizzing by me at 80 mph ( and more) and I get pulled over for JUST tinted windows! I'm originally from Arizona and travel a lot throught the west - tinted windows are important to me because of the heat. Come on California - get real! |
| 337 | Anonymous | |
| 338 | Mike Spring | Lets do something about this, let make it happen. Come on California, get real!! |
| 339 | Anonymous | I have to agree, it's just another way for officers to fill their quotas, instead of taking care of real crimes. This law should be changed so that the rest of us 'real people' can quit wasting our time paying tint fines. |

| 342 | Anonymous | I just got a fix it ticket for 35% tint on my front windows. however, he only gave me that because he pulled me over for speeding and it was dark outside, so I figure the officer just cant see very well. |

| 347 | Anonymous | Agreed. I bought a car in AZ and was driving through CA to get home (in WA) and got stopped. I didn't even know this law existed... Ridiculous... Fortunately, the officer was in a good mood and gave me a warning. |

| 349 | Anonymous | Yes Yes YES! Get rid of this law.
So the DMV hand book says "Do not drive with tinted safety
glass. If you have sun-sensitive
skin, you may use removable sun
screens during daylight travel
if you have a letter from your
physician."
So the day time is taken care of with a doctors note. But now there is the night. Is there anyone out there that has or knows someone that has skin sensitive to the dark or too much dark, or something some how realated to Dark? |
