Anonymousplease i have public shyness and dont want people to see in. LOL NO seriously, i enjoy a decent tint on a hot sunny day as my arm doesnt get burned and it keeps the car temp a lot cooler. Please change that law. Thank you
AnonymousIt's just to dam hot!
Anonymousits amazing how many officers in my town pull people over for tinted windows "like if there isnt enough crime going on that they need to focus on Tint!!..Ive gotten so many window tickets i couldnt tell you how many"..one thing i can say is the regulation for this crap should be changed,, "cops think there so big and bad pulling me over for tint" well i guess there gona keep doing it Too!!
AnonymousThis is a ridiculous law. I'm not asking to be able to limo tint my car, but no tint at all? How did this law even get by? We have no rights in California anymore.

AnonymousPulling people over for window tint is a wast of time and money. CHP should be catching the speeders and drunks rather than worry about window tint. I received a fix-it-ticket for my window tint a few months back and the officer explained to me that "it is for officers protection that they are able to see what I'm doing". What about the guy in the back seat you can't see? That argument doesn't stand up in my book! Stop wasting time and tax payers money!
Tami EngmanChange the law!!
Michael MorozovTime to change that law.
Matt RobertsI feel the law is ridiculous. The polices insecurity when pulling someone over could be solved simply by asking the driver to roll their windows down before approaching the car.

Gustavotint should be allowed where its illegal as long as the driver and the CHP can see in and out of the car. many people have issues with their eyes so i find it unfair for people like me that it hurts my eyes if my windows would not have tint. medical exempts shouldnt be nessary if tint can be legal. theirs alot more into the window tint that helps out out of all glare i know so many people that either came close or crashed due to reflective or glare which WOULD of been avoided if tint was applied since no glare / reflection would of occurd thus no crashing.

Lloyd DouglasI have had a tint on my car for a year and just recieved a fix it ticket and have to remove the tint on my driver/passenger windows. I find that to be extremely ridiculous. Its clearly lighter than the back windows and I still have to have it removed.

Anonymousi agree to that . that as a driver tint on front passenger may help me help my right arm complxion is diffrent fromthe left side due to su burn so pls they should chage this law no matter you do if someone wants to shoot you they will try it no matter what

John MullickI am real serios about getting this changed. Safety for the cop makes no scense when the back windows can be blacked out. What they don't think a passenger could shoot them.
Jose TorresWe need to get rid of this ridiculous law.

MikeI just got a ticket for tinted windows from BART Police. BART Police thinks he can do like CHP. BART cops are real lowly looking for bad guys on the trains.
AnonymousCHP OFFICERS NEED TO BE UTILIZED IN OTHER AREAS OF LAW, NOT WINDOW TINT. I SUPPOSE WE NEED THE LAW TO TELL THEM WHAT NOT TO WASTE THEIR TIME ON. THERE'S A REASON A LOT OF OFFICERS DO WHAT THEY DO, AND IT'S NOT BECAUSE IT'S FOR THE BETTERING OF THE PEOPLE.
AnonymousI believe that as long as you can see through the tint it is ok, my car has very little tint on it and it is very visible on the inside. I just got a ticket for it.
