	Message (Feel free to edit or add a personal note) I wanted to share with you the Business Owners for a Responsible Estate Tax statement that I just signed. I joined this effort because I believe the deepening concentration of wealth and economic power is bad for our society, our economy, and ultimately for my business. I am tired of seeing small businesses like mine being used as a "poster child" to defend a $1 trillion tax break over the next 20 years, the vast majority of which will never find its way into the pockets of small business owners like me. I believe that responsible estate tax reform, which increases current exemption levels and extends the special terms that apply to estates with significant small business and family assets, would exempt the vast majority of small businesses. A fair estate tax would protect the nation from the dramatic increase in the concentration of wealth that would occur if the estate tax were completely and permanently repealed.
