Why couldn't the Monaro been sold over here as a base model and the GTO as an option. Ford still does that with the Mustang and look how many they sale compared to the V-8's. |

| 210 | Eric Snyder | I definitely want the Firebird/TA back more so than a GTO. Having both would be fine for me. But a 5th Gen Firebird/TA must have its own distinct exterior styling. Nothing like the Camaros'. No blantant rebadges....that is very bad badge-engineering. :( GM is very capable of doing a great job on good badge engineering. The GM & the market can handle 2 Pony/Muscle cars from GM & the Firebird & GTO can co-exist in Pontiac's line up. The Chevy boys/girls are getting their beloved Camaro back. Its only fair that us Pontiac boys/girls get our Firebird/Trans Am back too!!! ...& on Zeta, not a stretched Alpha! That would be an insult to the Firebird/TA legacy!! |
