However, it took longer than I thought and GM stopped production in 2002. I would definitely buy a new one if and when they start making them again. Hopefully they don't Jap up the body style like they did with the 2004 Gran Turismo Omologato. |

Lately it seems like everything that GM's been making has been unimpressive to me and adding this kind of car to the line up would definitely drum up some serious interest (At least for me)! The new Camaro itself has been long overdue. I personally prefer Kevin Morgan's Trans Am Concept to even the photos of the new upcoming Camaro. Now I know that this might seem a little odd since he based his concept directly off of the styling cues of the new Camaro, but he cleans up some of the things that I didn't exactly care for on the new retro style Camaro. I know that there are going to be people who may disagree, but one turnoff was the way that the rear wheel port looks with the rest of the car as a whole. This could be just the way that the photos caught them as I haven't yet had an opportunity to see one in person, but at the same time it didn't seem different enough for me. Besides my few dislikes with the new Camaro, there is a lot to be said about the name of a vehicle. Companies spend millions in advertising trying to get people to have some kind of connection to whatever brandname and you know what? I've always loved Trans Am's and I always will! Introducing the Trans Am/Firebird based on one of Kevin Morgan's concept photo's would fit perfectly along side the new Camaro Concept. Where there's been one there has always been the other. Trans Am's bring with itself this different and unique look, which is what I've always loved with past Trans Am's. As I mentioned before theres a lot to be said about customers attraction to select brands and I know that I'm not the only one that feels this way about Trans Am. Bottom Line. If you were to put Kevin's Trans Am concept into production you'd have me lined up as a future customer! |
