| 67 | Anonymous | I want a new Firebird badly. The new Camaro ( while really cool) does not have the rebel badboy image that I love about Firebirds. As the "Performance Division", Pontiac needs a Firebird. The GTO is not an acceptable replacement, Pontiac will never be an American BMW.
Firebird has no more of a redneck image that Camaro has either. Firebird fans have remained loyal through the bitter end and still to this day. GM should want to reward that loyalty. GTO is NOT an acceptable alternative. We may not be as numerous as Camaro fans, but there are plenty of Firebird fans. Make a new Firebird based on the Zeta platform and I will be kicking the doors in at the Pontiac dealer. |

With the excitement of the camaro concept, I have been dreaming of a first generation inspired Firebird, and this is GM's chance to make it a reality. By doing this, they will "crack down" on the shity little imports that kids think are race cars and evoke a whole new meaning of the term muscle car. |

"Build It!" My particular faves are the early and late
'70's designs. I really like the t-top for the late 70's
design. To be honest, the Camaro is cool, but the
Trans-Am/Firebird really rocks. It is still the coolest. |

It was always my wish to but one new. Now that will never happen, unless you listen to the people who pay you! I don't want to have to settle on a Chevy to get a V8 rear wheel drive coupe. I know there are more out there like me. We are but just a few of the many people who want this. Just think, because of you we will never have another Bandit or Knight Rider. Think of all the generations who fell in love with Pontiac and the Trans Am just because of these. I want my kids to experience what I did. Don't deny the next generation.
