| 10 | Anonymous | The Camaro and Firebird( Trans Am ) have both been very important in the hot rodding culture, but each had its moment, or generation to shine. The Camaro was and still is the most popular of the two from the first generation(1967-1969) F-body platform. The Firebird and Trans Am was king of the 70-81 platform. For the 3rd and 4th generation, it depends on who you ask. To me the Firebird Trans Am was the most popular of the two F cars for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th generation. I would also like to say that the Trans Am was the best selling car of the late seventies, and is probably the only thing that kept Pontiac alive in the '77 to '84 model years. Most of the other Pontiac cars of the time(Ex. Grand Prix) did not sell well than and I've only seen three or four as oppose to the thousands of Firebirds and Trans Ams I'v seen. |
