| 448 | Marisa | Wow, it took me a long enough time to figure out that he was gone. At first I just started thinking the show was growing lackluster. Then I heard a different voice (apparently Smash?) chiming in every so often. I thought he was more of a distraction from the good points of the show than a part of the team and hoped that Petey would come back from his vacation and relieve this intern of his hosting duties. I tuned in one more time this morning, and once again, no Petey, and that same new voice with nothing to add to the chemistry of the group. I assumed Petey must have left and moved elsewhere to host his own show since he had so much personality, but finding out it was a Clear Channel decision??? Do these big corporations even listen to their shows before making these executive decisions? There was no other morning show in Chicago with that much chemistry and definitely none with the ability to make me laugh out loud in my car liek I was sitting with a group of old friends. I've slowly been shifting my listening patterns to B96 and even The Mix, and that's truly sad when such a talented group is one of my options. If it's not too late, you should BEG him to come back. |

| 450 | Brandon | Terrible idea to cut Pete from the show- Smash or whoever is his replacement detracts from the quality of the show, simply because he really doesn't uniquely contribute anything to the show in the way Pete did. I loved Pete's quirky attitude and perspective on many of the topics. I know for a fact of many people who have stopped listening to the show simply because of the loss of Pete. I think it is in everyone's (both the fan's and Clear Channel's) best interest that Pete be reinstated in the near future. |
