This petition is a result of notification of encroachment by Bonneville County requiring the removal of Brick Mailboxes. These notices were only sent to a small number of Bonneville County residents who actually have brick mailboxes.
We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to:
1) Stay action of enforcement of Idaho Code 40-2319 until the issue can be fully resolved.
2) Allow for public input into Bonneville County’s interpretation of Idaho Code 40-2319 as it pertains to mailboxes and the like in county right-of-ways in residential neighborhoods.
3) Review the Constitutionality of the way Bonneville County has enforced their interpretation of the Code.
This petition is open to all residents of Bonneville County, ID and is being accompanied by a printed version. We hope collect 1000 signatures by the end of November 2005. |
