AnonymousAnonymousSCUShis comments following the hansbrough nose incident were bordering on lunacy.
CharlieBattenPAUSGO HOOS !!!
AnonymousAnonymousNCUSBilly Packer has ALWAYS been an arrogant, conceited idiot. He needs to go. Doing nothing but hurting CBS.

PaulCrewsNCUSHe's an embarrasment to CBS and sports broadcasting.
lauramathis
AlexFieldsOHUSHe has too much bias in my opinion and I like other announcers better than him.
AnonymousAnonymousNCUSThe most negative commentator I've ever heard. Utterly tasteless and inappropriate for college sports.
ZackMedfordNCUSI've never liked Billy Packer, but he crossed the line after the comments he made following the Hanbrough foul. Maybe Coach K has room for Billy beside Steve Wojciechowski and his band of suck-ups.

ScottMacbethOHUSPacker is truly atrocious. His ACC bias is unbearable. Replace him with Mark Adams. Please!
DHunterNHI am forced to mute the tv ever time Packer is yapping his mouth off with absurd commentary... which is the WHOLE game.

AnonymousAnonymousNEUSSince the mid sixties when I lived in Carolina, Billy Packer has been a disaster in print and on the air. It is definitely way past his time to go!
AnonymousAnonymousNCThe commentary for the Duke/North Carolina game was appalling and just showed (a) how biased Packer is, and (b) how inaccurate his commentary is. While Packer insisted there was no intentional foul (over and over, punctuated by the replay of Henderson's elbow slamming into Hansbrough's face), see this Roy William's quote from TarHeelBlue.com about the incident: "I thought that Tyler was hit. The referees said that they would look at it. They did say immediately it was going to be an intentional foul but they wanted to look at it on the monitor. They looked at it on the monitor and then made their decisions." The refs said IMMEDIATELY that it was an intentional foul (meanwhile Packer claimed the refs were deciding WHO to call the foul on... seriously??). I don't know how anyone could look at that video and see the hit as a mistake. I would like to let CBS and its advertisers know that I have withdrawn my support for CBS sports coverage of NCAA basketball, and that I will watch the games muted rather than listen to Packer.

SamHochbergVAUSWhat happened on sunday during the Duke UNC game and his seemingly non caring about the injury should be addressed. The UNC player could have been seriously hurt and it seemed that he did not care about that at all

MarcyFowlerNYUSCollege basketball is such a wonderful sport that to have someone as negative and hateful as Packer commentating takes away so much from a game. My basketball watching experience would be much enhanced if I never had to hear Packer complain about anything ever again.

BobbyBlackNCUSHe is a bias announcer and needs to go.
AnonymousAnonymousNCUSHe's so obnoxious that I tune in the radio rather than listen to him.
EdSmithMDUSBilly Packer is so biased toward his favorite teams that he is unable to call a basketball game.
SaraWoodallNCUSWhen is is on I turn off the volume. He has a decided prejudice against Carolina.

AnonymousAnonymousOHUSA life-long fan of college basketball, I have been forced to listen to Billy Packer over the years. He lacks professionalism in broadcast language and is unable to distinguish his own personal feelings from fact. I think Billy struggles with his perception of the game. Although he was a player, I think he longs to be a coach, but knows he does not have the skill set to do so. Some former coaches and players are ideal as commentators in sports, but they all work for ESPN and ABC.

AnonymousAnonymousNYUSShame on Billy Packer for allowing his inherent hate for Carolina to spill into his professional work. Go back to making furniture - Start with a nice rocking chair for retired dumbasses.
TravisGosselinILUSPacker has proven year after year that he lacks the capacity to embrace and celebrate increased parity in college basketball. He routinely carries the water for his favorite coaches and teams and makes a point of disparaging teams from "lesser" conferences. CBS could do much, much better.
JaredSinkNCUS
ClareEstesNCUSWhen people start focusing on the horrible commentary rather than the game itself, you know something is wrong. Fire the man.
DanBullardNCUSBilly Packer is a disgrace to ACC men's basketball and his alma mata. He should be fired not only for his mele of opinionated blurbs after the incident nearing the end of the UNC victory alone, but mostly for the fact that Packer despises the team for which he played as a collegiate athlete which truly shows in his delivery during coverage of WFU games.

MaryCunninghamIf he had basketball knowledge, one could forgive his obnoxious personality but, alas, he doesn't.
AnonymousAnonymousNCUSBilly Packer is perhaps the most biased announcer I have ever heard. A true moron
CyRawlsNCUS
MartyCallisonMOUSPacker's comments during the Henderson incident on 3-4-07 should be the "straw" to finally get rid of this guy. Please CBS, show some mercy to your loyal basketball fans and force this guy into retirement. Enough is enough.
DominickSmithNYUS
AnonymousAnonymousCAUSThis has gone on long enough. Broadcasters are supposed to remain unbiased. Packer's recent comments in the dook/unc game (3/4/07) was appalling. his only concern was defending Henderson and nothing of Hansbrough's injuries. I have never liked listening to him and am disgusted by his attitude even more. He is a disgrace to all professional broadcasters and to CBS. My disdain for CBS grows more every year they keep this idiot employed
AnonymousAnonymousNCUSHe detracts from what is otherwise a very class production. You guys can do much better than Packer.
AnonymousAnonymousLAUSNot just Packer, but Nantz, too. He said nothing while Packer went on and on about what a terrible thing it would be for Duke to lose Henderson for a game. He barely found 5 seconds to say anything about Tyler's possibly very serious injury and the effect such an injury might have on him and the UNC team. Absolutely absurdly biased "coverage."
