While Packer insisted there was no intentional foul (over and over, punctuated by the replay of Henderson's elbow slamming into Hansbrough's face), see this Roy William's quote from TarHeelBlue.com about the incident: "I thought that Tyler was hit. The referees said that they would look at it. They did say immediately it was going to be an intentional foul but they wanted to look at it on the monitor. They looked at it on the monitor and then made their decisions."
The refs said IMMEDIATELY that it was an intentional foul (meanwhile Packer claimed the refs were deciding WHO to call the foul on... seriously??). I don't know how anyone could look at that video and see the hit as a mistake. I would like to let CBS and its advertisers know that I have withdrawn my support for CBS sports coverage of NCAA basketball, and that I will watch the games muted rather than listen to Packer. |
