This game was an historic milestone in college hoops, THE LARGEST cowd to EVER see a basketball game at ANY level, topping a record that stood since the the 1950s.. Not only did CBS cut in after the start of this EVENT that they so proudly advertised for 2 weeks they plagued it with a constant barrage fo babble from a man who yearns for the day of the old set shot and daisy duke shorts.
The game, but more importantly the EXCITEMENT that is college hoops is lost on this dinosaur. I mean for gods sake, he doesn't even interpeeret the rules of the game correctly.
Let yor sponsors know, we may watch their comercials, but with the sound turned OFF, I have no idea what they are saying! Billy needs to PACK it in. |

Announcers should simply call the game - who the foul was on, who scored, who rebounded, etc. - and say nothing else. I don't want to hear someone analyze what I just saw on TV. I don't care that Packer thinks a foul should've been called or that a team needs a timeout. He's not a ref or a coach, so his opinion is useless. |
