Don | Zimmerman | KS | US | Every game I watched of the NCAA tournament in which Billy Packer was the announcer I was amazed at how biased he always was towards one team or the other. Nobody wants to listen to an announcer who can't announce the game without injecting his personal bias into every comment. The Championship Game was deplorable! His bias against Kansas was nauseating. If an announcer can't conduct his business more professionally than that, he should not be allowed to have a microphone.
Anonymous | Anonymous | WI | US | The absolute worst.
Troy | Clark | KY | US | His bias towards the ACC makes me and the rest of the country sick. Please remove him from TV!
Anonymous | Anonymous | | | Packer sucks. For example, during the memphis game the officials did not call a technical on a memphis player for spiking the ball. Billy stated that was the right call by the officials. You don't spike the ball during any collegiate game without getting teed up. Especially the National Championship where each possesion is critical. My grandmother knows that. Put in someone who is entertaining like verne lundquist and Rafferty. At least they get excited for either team and are not so damn negative. (Jim Nance is a wax doll. Go announce the Masters, I'll take a nap, then see who won on SportsCenter.) Packer was such an ass when KU won National championship in 1988 and in 2008. At least CBS wised up an sent the nasal talking Bill Walton up to the NBA.

| 6059 | John | Randall | | | I find it fitting that half of the posters spell the name as Packard.
Whether or not this is intentional, it is fitting to associate this one-time fairly good announcer with a one-time fairly good automobile. The obvious difference that one of these obsolete dinosaurs is still polluting our air.
When I say "Packer" I think of a half-full suitcase. Don't you think it's time help him finish and then send him "packing"? |

Isaac | Wilkerson | SC | US | Please get this a**clown off the air! I mute every game he commentates!
Larry | Gourley | KS | US | It is hard for me to believe that he is the best announcer CBS could come up. His continual ACC bandwagon riding comments would have you believe that he must have some affiliation with it. He is annoying to say the least and is a huge negative for CBS and the game.

Brian | Daley | KS | US | Horrible..remove him. He doesnt have an objective bone in his body. East coast bias all the way.

Marcie | Ostrander | KS | US | Billy Packer is so anti-Big 12, that I imagine he just about choked when he had to contratulate KU on their win.
Ben | Brislawn | | | I tried to get Packer's attention at a Duke-Miami game earlier this year, and he gave me a glare. I laughed hysterically

Anonymous | Anonymous | KS | US | What responsible sports journalist announces "This game is over" with 7:44 left in the first half as Billy Packer did in the Kansas/North Carolina game? I mean seriously.

Anonymous | Anonymous | KY | US | Get Dick Vitale on the team to do color commentary for tourney games. You can say what you want about Dicky V, but he never criticizes the kids. Dick Enberg is cool, too.

George | Anderson | VA | US | He has become an ornery old man, who just isn't satisfied or enthusiastic about his job. He has a highly coveted job and I HOPE that CBS can find someone that honestly appreciates and understands the opportunity they're given.

Anonymous | Anonymous | KS | US | I have listened to Packer and Nance for years and they irritate me every time. Nance acts like half the time he isn't even watching the game. And Packer - oh boy! He's so prescient, I wonder why the games are even played as he knows the outcome of every one even as they unfold! Funny thing is, he switches sides right in the middle! His excuse for Dorsey's delaying tactic in the KU-MU championship game, when he would hold the ball after made MU buckets to let their defense have a couple seconds to get set, REALLY ticked me off. That's unsportsmanlike and should have been curtailed by the officials. Instead, Packer calls Dorsey's behavior "smart".
