Thirty minutes into the game he finally gave KU's defense credit for slowing down Memphis. I was wore out after the many "that should have been a foul" tirades that he went on. He is a joke and I can't for the life of me figure out why he continues to do the high profile games that CBS broadcasts. Next time I will hit mute and listen to the play-by-play on the radio. |

Every year I take the radio and use the sound from that and mute the TV because I can't take Billy Packer. How many times do we have to listen to "I don't like how he ..." or "He shouldn't have ...". I don't care what Billy Packer likes and I don't want to hear his personal agenda. What I want is good clean professional commentary that puts the game first. |

I can really only remember two things one "Kansas knows what its like to be in a an overtime championship game….remember back in 1957…." - What the heck!!! And when CDR slammed the ball on the court, how many times does Billy need to tell everyone in the country why he slammed the ball on the court. Oh yeah "he did it out of frustration." Thanks Billy, cause for a second there I thought that he was just making a really bug bounce pass to his mom in the stands. How can someone be so bad at their job, have this many people complain about them and still have a job, maybe I should go to work for CBS. |

Last night during the KU Memphis game, Rose made a turn around bank shot, off the glass jumper with one foot behind the 3-point line;Pucker's comment was brilliant. Yeh, off the glass turn around jumper. Just like he practices that shot. Send Billy back to the East Coast. he hates the midwest, we hate him. Keep out of the midwest. We just MUTE when he is on. |

I am a KU fan and when Billy Hacker was lathered up in the second half of he KU/NC game he was broadcasting the game as if he was enjoying himself like a NC fan. His comments were uncalled for and, obviously, a waste of everyones time. "This will be the biggest collapse in the history of NCAA basketball"---not quite Billy. Hey Billy, go sit with Johnny Miller and you two can enjoy rooting each putt out of the hole together!!! |

I think CBS does do a great job with coverage of the tournament with the exception of Billy Packer. I will say that Gus Johnson is probably the best commentator in the profession. That rule changed several years ago. The 5 count stops as soon as the inbounder releases it towards the floor. |

Last night's highlight was probably his implication that a game that occurred 51 years ago would benefit the current Jayhawks in overtime. His suggestion that Memphis did not need a three-pointer down five with 18 seconds left was fine...if you ignore him imploring Memphis to shoot threes when they were down only one more point over a minute earlier. Memo to Billy: when the ENTIRE FOOT of a player is inside the three-point line there is no need to continue analyzing the official's call 20 minutes later. To the powers that be at CBS, please give us an early Christmas gift and fire Packer. Knowing that his deplorable commentary awaited me in the house was almost enough to keep me in the car and listening to Bill Raftery. |

The Heels lost that game but had came back to within 4 points (with the ball) with 11 minutes left in the game. That's the latest example of Billy giving up quick. It's like he's never seen a comeback. |
