Attawapiskat Baseball Field

The petition

Attawapiskat First Nation currently does not have a Baseball field in their community. This is a petition to help raise some action in seeing a new ball field.
When our elementary school got closed for contamination in the early 90’s, Students were left to go to school in portables which were located “temporally” on the baseball/ soccer field. When these were in place, a small open field was then constructed on the eastside of the community in early 2000. This was unfortunately turned into a holding/ storage facility for DeBeers Canada in construction for their Ontario’s Diamond mine. This last piece of land which was the only entertainment/social gathering area was sadly taken in 2006. Please sign the Petition to see a new Baseball field for our children and our future generations. A field which we can call our own and also that can be BCR’d by our chief and council to not be taken away from us.
