The petition

This petition has been created on the hopes that the Craigslist Staff will no longer ignore the harm that one person, Jorge P Sousa, has inflicted upon the thousands of users that wish to use the political forum as a place where we can discuss our thoughts without being forced to withstand a constant barrage of harassment and spam. For over a year Jorge has plagued our message board with his racist hated and shameless self-promotion of his website. The CL staff at one time had banned Jorge’s URL but he has found a way to bypass the ban and continues to create nearly 100 posts per day (if not more) that contain derogatory comments projected at specific groups (for example: homosexuals and African Americans) that are not only insulting but also serve as an advertisement for his for profit website. We would like the Craigslist staff to take further action and find a way to prevent Jorge from returning to the site permanently. Their current course of action has failed to produce a satisfactory outcome . The only solution is to engage a more aggressive plan; I call upon Craigslist to produce and cease and desist order drafted by an officer of the court. I urge you all to sign this petition and let your voice be heard that you will not longer let one person ruin your experience on Craigslist. Once you’ve finished tell your friends to sign. Together we can stop Jorge Sousa once and for all.

Thank you for your time and signature.
