Bring the Bakerloo Line to SE London

This would create a new southeast to northwest strategic route through the Capital, serving areas with poor transport accessibility and freeing up National Rail capacity at London Bridge for other service improvements
The Bakerloo line extension itself will improve
the access to a number of deprived areas to a wider job market, aide
regeneration and support economic development in some of the most deprived areas of London
Lewisham is a crucial gateway to Canary Wharf and between now and 2050 it is crucial that their is interchange at Lewisham with the DLR to support future expansion.
In July 2011, Network Rail published its Route Utilisation Strategy
for London and the South East. This recommended an extension of the Bakerloo
line from Elephant and Castle to Lewisham, where it would take over the line to
Hayes and thus release capacity on National Rail lines into Charing Cross, and we feel the Mayor of London progress this recommendation as soon as possible.
