Morgan | Jenatton | CO | US | My language professor told us today that she was told she was forbidden by the Department from giving As anymore. The highest grade we can receive this term is a B+.

Donna | Redling | NJ | US | I wholeheartedly disagree with BU's grade deflation and find it unfair to students who work and study diligently yet receive grades much lower then they deserve. I hope a compromise can be found which the student body and school administration are happy with. Personally I am unhappy that my child, who always excelled in high school finds this grading system so frustrating.

Sherry | Ghoreishi | RI | US | The grading deflation at BU is awful and needs to be fixed so that students are rewarded instead of penalized for their hard work.

Yoko | Chang | NJ | US | My daughter Julia Chang (class of 2008) was promised 4 years 50% off meritt scholarship base on attainning 3.2GPA every year. She lost her scholarship after the freshmen year as a result of the school grade deflation policy. I believe that it is illegal for BU to lure new students in with 4 years guranteed 50% meritt scholarship at 3.2GPA(B+), but never intended to give students any grad higher than 3.0 GPA(B). For any parents that are in the same situation as we do, I like to coordinate the lawsuit againt BU's grad policy to get back my daughter's well deserve hard work and half-price tuition. Please call me at 732-972-1888 between 7/24/2005~8/18/2005 or after 9/4/2005.
Steve | Chang | NJ | US | It is outrageous that the university only care about it's "image" without regarding the long term future of each individual student. Grade deflating is just straight out wrong, and demoralizing. I think whoever instigate this policy should be fired.

doris | shu | | | I am a BU student and I have to adhere to this policy. It is extremely demoralizing and I would like to have this change for the better- for the benefit of the students and the university.

Annie | Dow | | | I think it's time the University starts acting like a University and thinking more about the wellfare of their students. Stop grade deflation, and if that is an impossibility, at least acknowledge it exists so we have a shot at graduate schools?
Melinda | Foulk | | |
William | Barton | FL | US | This is a serious issue that needs to be taken into account as soon as possible. If it continues BU runs the risk of seriously reducing the amount of students who would attend.
