Lois KallunkiAs a resident of both Michigan and Wisconsin, I agree that Indiana regulators should repeal this decision and instead take active steps to reduce the pollution of Lake Michigan.

Pauline Valvo AlfordI want you to know that I will no longer buy BP gas and have canceled my BP credit card.
Charles SilverAs a part-time resident of Michigan who enjoys swimming in Lake Michigan and depends on it for drinking water, I oppose the increase in pollution and urge the State of Indiana to protect this invaluable natural resource.
jon nealesteinI could say a lot, but this action is so stupid, no need to say anything.

AnonymousI'm truly sickened that the further of Illegal pollution(Clean Water Act of the 70's) of the great lakes would be allowed by our government. The great lakes are the main source of drinking water for people and states along the lake. I personally live and have lived along Lake Michigan my whole life. Its just a short 5 min ride and I'm right there. And my mom family lives an actual stones throw away from the lake. It scares the crap out of me to drink my water and or go swimming, and that was before, now with this being allowed ill have to find an alternative. BP tries to make it self look like they care about the environment but this new plan of theirs shows anything but that. They are just another eco friendly Red Herring just trying to take over the market. I just hope that they are stopped before they ruin one of this words greatest treasures, more so then already.
Samantha DustinPlease do not pollute our drinking water!

Carrie GoeselIN should NOT allow BP to dump toxins into our fresh water drinking supply. If IN doesn't over turn the regulation, other states should.
Jeremy A. FaulknerThis is appalling that BP would consider further polluting our drinking water. We already have days when the beaches are closed due to high bacteria levels. What side effects could this have on our water for drinking and the fish. It just doesn't make sense. I will never purchase BP fuel again.
kelseyWhy expand your company if you do not have the room. Common Sense here, do not do it. I'm 16 years old and i see that this is not right, then how can't the persons who granted them the okay realize that is it doing more bad than good.

Arlene BrightI cherish Lake Michigan as a life source. I will never buy one gallon of BP gas. We should be good stewards of our God given treasures and not destroy them out of greed!

Arthur BerntBP - how dare you. What gives you the right to pollute our precious Lake Michigan with ammonia, heavy metals and God knows what all else. What gives you the right to cast aside the well being of millions of people in this area? What gives you the right to dump poison into our drinking water? What gives you the right to poison the beautiful lake that millions of us love and and enjoy with immense pleasure all year round? WHAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT? You are already one of the largest polluters of the lake. You unconcienable plan will doubtless have a very adverse effect on our wonderful lake. It is a sin. And you have the audacity to call yourselves a "Green" company? You lie right into the faces of all of us? We all know your motives - the revered profit line. So do not insult us with more lies - we know better. Therefor, I am taking Alderman Edward Burke's call for a boycott of BP one step further. I do posess a BP credit card which I have had for many years.Stupid me, right? This credit card is now cut into about 14 pieces and will be returned to BP by US Mail. I would urge any citizen, regardless of their proximity to Lake Michigan, to do likewise. I suspect this letter was written in vain, as I'm almost certain it won't even be read past the first line, if even that. Remember - one day you will be judged. But by then it will be to late.
AnonymousWhy don't require them to build and run their own waste water treatment plant. Not only would that increase the number of jobs created, but also provide clean water.
Steve DunphyI regularly swim in the Indiana Dunes Lakeshore area. We don't need more pollution from BP.

AnonymousWe shouldn't even have to sign petitions to save our environment anymore. It should be second nature for everyone, including large businesses, to protect it. At a time when global warming and contaminated water has become such a huge issue, I find it amazing to see something this ridiculous actually being passed through our regulators. Have we just slipped back in time 40yrs? We need to stand up and protect ourselves from these bullies.
