The petition

In the new patch slated to be released by Blizzard Entertainment for the World of Warcraft there is a change to the mechanics of how a hunter uses the "Auto Shot" ability. Many hunters use the current and approved method of /castsequence to weave several shots together to help with their damage per second (DPS) due to latency issues and the speed at which buttons must be clicked to keep their damage as high as possible. Blizzard has made a change in Patch 2.3 with how auto shot works in a /castsequence macro. In the live server when auto shot is called by the macro the hunter will shoot an auto shot. In the Public Test Realm (PTR) when auto shot is called by the macro the hunter toggles off auto shot and the macro fails to progress through the rotation, basically making the macro useless for the hunter class.
