To Dale Earnhardt, Inc. - KEEP THE TRADITION ALIVE

The petition

On April 29th, 2007 (Dale Earnhardt's 56th birthday) it was confirmed that Dale Earnhardt, Inc. is in talks with Robert Yates Racing and possibly Ford to form an alliance. Whether this is serious talk or not, a message needs to be sent to the executives of Dale Earnhardt, Inc. to show that a large number of their supporters oppose any possible alliance with Ford.

If you are a true Dale Earnhardt fan and a true believer in what Dale stood for, you would agree that the executives at DEI are potentially getting ready to make a move that would go against one of the core values of Dale Earnhardt. That core value was loyalty.

Ask anyone in the racing business and they will tell you that when Dale Earnhardt trusted you, he was loyal to you. Such has been the alliance with Dale Earnhardt, Dale Earnhardt, Inc. and Chevrolet. Chevrolet trusted Dale and Dale trusted them. To have Ford Motor Company even at the negotiating table would be a slap in the face to the man who formed the company, and the man whose name goes hand in hand with Chevrolet. Dale Earnhardt and Chevrolet is an iconic alliance that has made the two very successful.

That alliance needs to continue. With your help, and folks who feel the same way you do, you can make a difference. Please sign this petition to ask the executives at Dale Earnhardt, Inc. to keep the alliance with Chevrolet no matter what. The goal of this petition is to collect 333,333 names of people who are united in telling those at DEI to be BOWTIE LOYAL, and DO NOT consider Ford (or any other manufacturer) as a possible manufacturer for DEI. If this happened, a huge part of Dale Earnhardt's Legacy would be destroyed.

NASCAR alone has turned away from the value of tradition and loyalty. By signing this petition, you are sending a message to DEI asking that they do not go down the path NASCAR, and many others in the sport have gone, where the dollar signs mean more than history and tradition. Please unite and sign this petition to show that history and tradition is valued, and most importantly; Continue the Legacy of Dale Earnhardt and Chevrolet.

The deadline for this petition is July 7, 2007 or 333,333 names, whichever comes first. Once we have the names, we will hand deliver the petition to the Dale Earnhardt, Inc. offices in Mooresville, NC.
