Recycling for Birmingham City Students

The petition

Hi,

Birmingham City Students' Union recently passed a policy to lobby for further recycling facilities on our residential and academic campuses. The exec team have outlined two main groups that we need to have on board to make this happen; the University and the local government. The University needs to pay to have waste disposed of on academic campuses, but the City Council is responsible for residential campuses, as it is for the citizens.

Birmingham City Students' Unon would like you to aknowledge that by committing to this petition, the Students' Union will send this with a formal letter to lobby these particular groups so that our students havce the right to recycle. In terms of the University academic campus I would also like you to note that some waste is currently recycled, yet we believe that more specific bins should be put around campus to maximise output, in and out side of buildings, and not just to be paper orientated.
