| 4 | Larry Benjamin "Benji" Brossette | Fees are completely ridiculous! I'll set my own fees! Either accept it or get out of my face! I will not compete with pathetic, in-ept, skippies and appraisers whom really think their something. I hone each and every appraisal and I care! I be damned if I lower myself to just be able to compete with with whom is not a true appraiser. Not only this, consumers ar ebeing ripped another one with the fees, which are being hidden on purpose. Price fixing and calling on less quality work and quick turn arounds is pathetic! I feel sorry for the public because they don't know the truth. There is still too many things I haven't mentioned, but the petition pretty much saids a mouthful and, then some! |

| 11 | John Carroll | My biggest concern is that this new agreement eliminates my ability to practice free enterprise and clearly puts my future in the hands of ppl who have been proven to be driven by personal financial gain, which fair play does not play a roll. I have clients that I have labored very hard to maintain and this agreement disolves all of that on Jan 2009. I think this new agreement is unfair and is going to cause a much larger problem |
| 12 | Mark Paulson | The problem is not the lender-appraiser relationship, it is in enforcement of existing law! |

| 17 | Brandon Abidin | We believe this practice will only further jeopardize the mortgage industry and cause several appraisers who work very hard to maintain an ethical and service related business to lose their careers overnight. This only benefits the mega-powers Fannie & Freddie sponsored "National Appraisal Services" and will further decimate the mortgage economy. |

| 21 | Anonymous | It is unregulated appraisal management companies that are at the heart of most of the value problem. Being outside regulation, they can do what they please. Compensation for these companies should be pegged to a percentage of the fee or a fixed fee. This way they would not be encouraged to seek the lowest priced appraiser on the block. Quality would become more important.
They should also be liable for picking unqualified appraisers.
Good appraisers are busier and cannot compete on turnaround times with those who have little business. It takes more time to do the job right. Reasonable turn around times are necessary.
Those that judge the good appraisers, themselves need to be qualified to discern a good appraisal from a bad one. Complex appraisals often llok "bad" to those that do not understand the process.
USPAP Standards 3 needs to be enforced. |

| 30 | Melissa Trammo | We are adding to the current unemployment problem, also it is ridiculous to require more education for appraisers and reduce the fees??? What fee split would a trainee get for two years, not one that will pay the bills thats for sure. Only the cheapest gets the work and yes the AMC companies still find ways to contact you to try to influence the appraisal. Now everyone is on a profit frenzy including out of state appraisers. Doesnt anyone care anymore or will greed prevail? |

| 35 | Anonymous | It is a shame with the time, training, investment to become a professional and make a good living for our familys and ourselves and a middleman always finds a way to take our money. This is like a person feeling ill and you charging them a fee to tell them what is wrong with them after you find out from a real doctor. Only a certified trained real estate appraiser should be qualified to give an estimated opinion of real estate. Only the honest ones. This is great lets hope it goes somewhere. I did hear that several states have passed a law stating that only certified appraisers can give an estimated value of real estate, meaning no AVMS or anything but an actual appraiser. Thanks. |

| 45 | Anonymous | There are some people that think appraisal management companies can not be stopped. Well, Think again! Management companies were successfuly haulted by surveyors and engineers. They were virtually banned from that industry by revising the state laws to require that they be licensed. Appraisers can do the same thing. Contact your elected officials. Ask for change! Submit the petition link or a link to the article below. Do it anonymously if need be but do it and take back your industry ! Read More: appraiserx.com/?p=29 |
