Please bring search to the Apple iPod 5g

Apple,
Please add the 5.5g search feature for our 5g.

Apple released a new version of the Video iPod a few months back. This added different hard drive sizes and support for different video resolutions.

When they released this, they also released a new firmware for the original 5g. This firmware added gapless playback, the ability to play games downloaded via iTunes and brightness control.
Unfortunately, they left out the search feature that the new iPods have.

Many 5g owners purchased their iPods within 6 months of the change and paid more than the 5.5g costs. It's understandable that technology changes and prices decrease, but why should we purchase a new iPod just to get this feature?
